Abraham (pbuh): A Prophet.
Jews: Followers of Prophet Moses (pbuh)
Christians: Followers of Prophet Jesus (pbuh)
Muslims / Islam: Followers of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Abraham (pbuh) had 2 sons.
Both Isaac (pbuh) and Ishmael (pbuh) were Prophets. We believe Ishmael (pbuh) to be a forefather of our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Ishmael (pbuh) was the one who was offered for sacrifice. Ishmael (pbuh) was the first born. He was Abraham's (pbuh) son from his wife Hagar. Hagar was the maid servant of Sarah whom Abraham (pbuh) married on Sarah's recommendation.
Isaac (pbuh) was Abraham's (pbuh) son from his first wife Sarah.
Ishmael (pbuh) was the elder brother of Isaac (pbuh). They were both sons of Abraham (pbuh).
Moses (pbuh) preached to and was one of the "Children of Israel"
Israel was another name for Jacob (pbuh).
Moses (pbuh) was thus one of the descendants of Jacob (pbuh).
Jacob (pbuh) was a descendant of Isaac (pbuh).
Moses (pbuh) was from among the descendants of Isaac (pbuh). Jesus (pbuh) was from among the descendants of Isaac (pbuh). Muhammed (pbuh) is a descendant of Abraham (pbuh) from his son Ishmael (pbuh). Yes! The roots are the same.
So we Muslims respect both the sons of Abraham (pbuh) and find no reason to hate or speak ill against one or the other.
Islam - Submission to the One True God - is the first religion beginning at the time of Adam (pbuh).
Except that maybe it was not called Islam then.
Even Abraham's (pbuh) religion was Islam - Submission to God; a religion of Peace.
Islam means literally "submission to God". In that literal sense of the word all three religions are Islam. They all stem from revelations that the same God has given mankind. When Moses (pbuh) was alive there was no "Judaism"; it was called that later on. Similarly when Jesus (pbuh) was alive there was no "Christianity". However it does not change the fact that all three are revelations of the same God.
And Allah knows best.

Abraham and his wife Sarah were the first Jews. It is in their line that Jesus was to be born. God promised them a male child and Sarah because of their age didn't believe that God could do it. Abraham was convinced by Sarah to have "relations" with Haggai Sarah's hand maid and she bore Abraham's first son Ishmael. That's where Islam comes in they believe the promise should have gone to Ishmael since he was first. However the promise was meant for Abraham and Sarah's child who was Isaac. Now Christians come in after Christ because He was the promised messiah. Since the Jews didn't believe that He was the Messiah there was a split and that's how the Christians came about. Had He been accepted as the Messiah that was prophesied to them about we would still be Jews.

In islamic religion Abraham was the father of all prophets. He laid down the principles of monotheism. He lived in the era of Namrud king in Babylonia. His father was a maker of idols that was worshipped by all of the ancestors of Abraham. He protested him father's religion. He was summoned by the Namrud king who acted as a god because he could let someone to live or die.Bu Abraham told the king that if you were the god please made the sun rise at the west. The king did not do like that so he was angry with Abraham. He was gotten into the fire but God helped Abraham and he did not die by burning.
Abraham laid down the bases for 3 religions ie jewish, christians and islam. In islamic teaching Abraham was told that after he was old he gave by God a child called Ismael who born by his wife called Hajar. Then he got a second child callad Ishaq born by his wife Sarah.Abraham assisted by Ismael founded Kabaa as the center of the world as as the qiblat/direction of all muslims all over the world for praying..Kabbaa is the house for God.
Abraham had a dream that he should slaughter Ismael for a dedication to God Almighty.Ismael was ready to be slaughtered, but God saved him and replaced him with a goat .So since that time we should slaughter a goat for 1 person or cow or camel for 7 persons which its meat distributed for the poors .It is called idul adha the day of qurban or victim

In the study of comparative religion, an Abrahamic religion is any religion deriving from a common ancient Semitic tradition and traced by their adherents to Abraham ("Father/Leader of many" Hebrew אַבְרָהָם ("Avraham") Arabic ابراهيم ("Ibrahim"), a patriarch whose life is narrated in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, and as a prophet in the Qur'an and also called a prophet in Genesis 20:7. This forms a large group of largely monotheistic religions, including Judaism, Christianity, Islam and the Bahá'í Faith. Abrahamic religions account for more than half [1] of the world's total religious adherents. Many adherents of these religions, however, will reject this grouping of their faiths on the grounds that they contain inherently and fundamentally incompatible ideas concerning Abraham and God.

Zoroastrianism, as reported above, is often approved with being the 1st monotheistic faith. yet, relating to the different 3, Judaism is an intensive 2nd. Christianity is derived from Judaism, and, with the trinity, it incredibly is even arguable in spite of if it incredibly is a genuine monotheism. Islam got here even later after the two Christianity and Judaism, and became prompted via the two. Judaism is the resource, relative to those 3.

Abraham appears in the Old Testament. He's the founder of the Jewish Faith. Christianity and Judaism share that common scripture -- Christianity just adds the New Testament.
Islam's holy book, the Koran, makes reference to Abraham and "people of the book" (meaning the Bible).

Christianity evolved out of Judaism and then Islam evolved out of a combination of the two. Mohamed spent some time up north with the Jews and Christians.

The original, unchanged revelations given to Abraham and other prophets(like Moses and Jesus ) reaching back to Adam all came from the One True God(The Creator). This common origin explains their similarities in many beliefs and values
However, over time the teachings of the various religions, due to a variety of reasons, have become distorted and mixed with made-man ideas.
The last Prophet and Messenger of God, Muhammad , who is a direct descendant of Abraham through his first born son, Ishmael, was sent with the Last Guidance, Revelation and Testament, the Holy Qur'an(koran) to amend and correct the changes and corruption made to the the "Torah" which was sent to Moses and theTrue Gospel of Jesus. To say the truth ,God preserved all the other Holy Books plainly by preserving His Last Book the Holy Qur'an(koran)which contains the right and the truth of all that was changed in those other Books.
This is why this last Revelation which was sent 1423 years ago has remained unchanged, not even a word or a letter has been altered.
There is not even one word of difference between two Arabic Qur'ans, anywhere in the world. There has been no disagreements in history among Muslims as to what should and should not be in the Qur'an. However, in the case of the Bible, even the most ancient manuscripts conflict with one another so that no two are identical. Footnotes in all modern versions of the Bible prove this fact.
These revisions serve as concrete proofs that all the Biblical books are not at all divinely inspired. This is because it is beyond man's ability to correct the work of his Creator, who alone is Almighty and perfect
It was only natural for Almighty God to preserve the scripture revealed to Prophet Muhammad, because he was the last Prophet and Final Messenger of God.
Islam teaches us that we must pray directly to God without an intermediary and no soul can bear the burden of another and that the nature of humanity is good, and we did not inherit sin from Adam. Each soul comes into being free of sin.in Islam there are no priests or clergy -- each worshipper, man or woman, has a direct relationship with their Merciful Creator -- Almighty God. Since God is the Owner and Sustainer of everything, as well as the only one who can provide true and complete forgiveness, it is completely futile to try to approach Him through anyone else.
The oneness and universality of God's message requires that people accept all the messengers of God. Rejecting one of them amounts to rejecting them all. The Jews reject Jesus's mission and Muhammad's mission; the Christians reject Muhammad's mission; whereas the Muslims accept them all, but reject incorrect historical interpretations and human elements in these missions.
As the Qur'an is the final revelation and Muhammad is the final prophet, humanity is obligated to accept it: "If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost all spiritual good" (3:86).
The Final Prophet Muhammad said: "Whoever believes there is no god but God, alone without partner, that Muhammad is His messenger, that Jesus is messenger of God, and that Paradise and Hell are true, shall be received by God into Heaven."
you can do that now as you are reading these lines is to pronounce the two confirmations and attestations of faith, here it is
I BEAR WITNESS THAT THERE IS NO GOD WORTHY OF WORSHIP EXCEPT ALLAH ( ARABIC WORD MEANS ONE GOD-THE CREATOR). AND I BEAR WITNESS THAT MUHAMMAD IS HIS SERVANT AND MESSENGER. I BEAR WITNESS THAT JESUS IS HIS SERVANT AND MESSENGER.
The right picture of lslam is conveyed in the Qur'an, which is exemplified by Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The reality is that it is not fair to judge a religion by the actions of its followers alone because there are good and bad followers in every religion. The correct thing to do is to judge a religion by its documented revelation from God and the prophet who brought that revelation.
I encourage Christians and other religions to learn about Islam from Muslim sources and The Basis Of The Muslim Belief and not rely on second hand information which in many cases is distorted or contains a deep seated anti Muslim agenda. This is indeed a more scholarly approach

Once there was a rich business man who had two sons, and they lived in a poor village called Midianether.
In the village there were many rogues, and the poor in the village were extremely violent. One day, the man had to go away for a long trip with his right hand man. The sons was left alone at home.
Years went by and the sons grew up strong but one day while they were out hunting they were attacked by a wolf and fell off a cliff. Nobody knew what happened to them.
In their absence, the rogues of the village took charge of the mansion. They lived and drank there and took whatever they fancied. Some years later, a lawyer came to the house, as it was time for the sons to take over their father's business in his absence. The rogues knew what was coming and dressed themselves up and sang songs. When the lawyer entered the house, the rogues called themselves the sons of the rich man.
Doubtful, the lawyer asked for identification. The rogues showed them a black stone and told him that it was evidence of their relationship with the rich man and proceeded to kneel before the stone 5 times to show respect. The lawyer refused to believe them and started to leave. Angry, the rogues wanted the will and turned violent and cut off the lawyer's head. Happy that they now have the mansion, they continue with their revelry.
One day the sons came back and was shocked at the state of the mansion. They fought the rogues and managed to secure a room in the mansion where they built up and decorated to live in. The rogue were furious and wanted to get rid of the sons.
Meanwhile, the rich man was still busy with his work and decided to send his right hand man to check up on matters at home. With clear instructions and a letter of authority, the man proceeded to return to the mansion of the rich man. The man saw the two sons trapped in the house and taught them how to escape. One of the sons followed his instructions and successfully escaped, while the other remains stuck in the house.
The day is coming when the rich man will return and the rogues will meet their doom.
