How can you tell if your friend is bisexual?

I'm bi (maybe les) fem.. how can I tell if my fem friend's bi or has bi tendancies without asking (as of yet)?

If you're not interested in dating this friend - then does it really matter? If you ARE interested in dating this friend, then put yourself out on a limb, and ask her out. Worst thing she can do is say no.
