"God" does exist but not in the way most people believe. I love the quote from Ernest Holmes, founder of Religious Science of Mind: "I thank the God that is, that the God most people believe in, isn't."

There are only three ways we could have come into existence:
1) We popped out of nowhere
2) We created ourselves
3) Or we were created by a Higher Being.
1) If you think about the intricate world and all that it contains, every atom, every subatomic particle, man, woman, animal and plant, it is impossible that something as intricate as our universe happened purely by chance.
2) This option can't seriously be considered because it is an obvious contradiction.
3) We are left with this option, we were created. This creation must have been taken out by a Being with Knowledge of all things, with Absolute Power and by One who does not resemble us in any form, for this would be similar to the contradictary view of (2).
Also, to control the affairs of this world, to allow the plants to grow, the wind to blow, for us to breath, we cannot mearly be relying on chance.
The Higher Being is with us and we are put on this earth to Worship Him, the Only One who is worthy of being Worshipped, GOD.

Do you think God exists? Your choice.
Personally, I don't know how God could not exist. Look at physiology. Every piece of DNA in your body is safeguarded by proteins that will fix it if something goes wrong. Some say natural selection. However, if natural selection were the only factor here, how would the right one have come about? How do our cells know to stick together? Why do we breathe? What prompted the first fish to climb out of the water? Why did plants start creating flowers? Chance alone could not have created the world we know today.
But that's all scientific and religious mumbo-jumbo.

The wisest Educators of all mankind confirm this truth in their Holy Books. Their thoughts are most beautiful and sublime, while They humbly praise and worship the One True God. Under Their influences, we have Buddhist, Christian, Islamic civilizations...All human accomplishments become naught before Their glories.

Yes there is when you begin to pray and meditate and get in his presence you can begin to feel his existence. just think about the things you have been through and realize there had to be a God you are still here, and you made it. Think about the things that could have taken you out of this world but your still here. Yes my friend there is a God I would not have it any other way but to believe and trust him.

I do not think that there is such an extra-terrestial and thinking being called God, capable of rewarding/punishing behaviour. Humans are simply too scared to face up to the reality that we are alone down here! On the other hand, humans, animals as we are and capable of the most harsh atrocities, need to have sets of rules/values to regulate our behaviour and engagement. Imagine a huge intersection without traffic lights/cop to regulate traffic!

Humankind has attributed everything that he cannot understand to a god of some sort almost since time began. Only the names have changed.

The best explaination for there having to be a God is that there is no way we could have created ourselves without Him. There is no way in hell a watch could have created itself by random chance over millions of years by parts coming together on it's own...how much more then does it speak of the intricately weaved system of the wrist upon which it lies? The Holy Bible is the written word of God. The first verse spells out Pi (3.14) found thoughout all of science. Now how do you prove that one without a God? Chance? God doesn't play dice...Einstein said so himself.

If you believe in a god, there is I suppose. There really isn't an answer to that question because there's no hard evidence to back it up.
