So I don't quite understand why someone after being raised as a child would want to change their religion as an adult.

Because then that questions your faith before with your first religion and then it questions how strong your faith is after your religion.

Why did you change in the first place?

And how do you know if the religion you're practicing is right?

So really I'm asking about your faith, and why you believe in whatever religion you believe in.

Cause every religion is contradicting towards another.
And I don't want to seem biased cause I do have a religious affiliation. And I don't want offend anyone either.

If IBM systematically discriminates against older people stealing their benefits, often laying them off a year or two before they can reach 30 to claim them... is it a sin ... and who is responsible for these abuses? Sam Palimsano? HR? no one... its just a fuzzy fuzzy lack of accountability In recent years IBM managers agressively avoid to credit older employees for kill themselves working long hours while aggressively crediting minority and young employees for less. Is it a sin? Is it just shrewd business to take away people benefits before they can hit 30 years. Is it shrewd to have people work 28 years and lay them off a year before they can get lifetime medical for example

Hi, teacher here needing some good answers to questions from my kids. In the rally / race of Dakar, do all participants wait at the Strait for the Cargo ship to load them (at the same time), if so, when they "release them" in Africa do they release them at the same time? Or do they release them according to the times they made it to the Cargo ship? Kids are wondering what the point of racing to the cargo ship is if they release them all on the other side at the same time. Any other specifics would be appreciated. Not general info - have that, but interesting tidbits for my students. I teach in the rural US and am inspiring my students to view that side of the world through this race. They love it and are asking so many great questions about the people / customs involved. Please help me to open their eyes to the world.

Thanks, Wildflower

Somebody asked the question if we "feel sorry for humanity". Many "yes" answers were provided. However, we are humanity and I don't think we should feel sorry for ourselves. We should try to improve ourselves. So, what is one thing you would do to improve humanity?

I will start. People who violate the purest form of humanity, something each of us has been ~ a child, should have NO future rights. Death penalty is not harsh enough for people like this. How about life-time prison sentence with no parole. No TV, no weights, no "social interactive times", nothing. Rights to exist have been exhausted by being a "monster", and not a human being.

Is Dorthy everyman or everywoman? Are you in a strange place that dosn't feel like home? Were you sent to the wizards, only to be given words on paper, a metal medal, & a promise only to find he was a fake? Have you ever fallen asleep on the path? Why does the wicked witch use fire to keep you from advancing? What is in the nature of water to melt the illusion of wickedness? What was the only thing Dorthy needed to do to be home? Is this story history? Do you see any "truth" in this story? How is that possible? Could it be that the "Truth" is in you?

How do you say in Quenya (the Tolkien Elvish language), "If you can read this, than you are amazing. Send me a PM".

I'm not sure if the font will work on here, so feel free to just type it using the Roman alphabet. I have the font, though there may be a few phonetic problems whilst using it with certain vowels/consonants etc.

If you know Sindarin instead of Quenya, that will be fine too.

It was Psalms 26 where his name was suppose to appear in and I can't find it in the KJV. He was suppise to be 26 when the Bible was written. I don't believe it, I just wanted to see where his name was, because it sounded like a cool conspiracy theory.

First, I am not a homophobe. I understand how a non Christian can believe that homosexuality is an acceptable "lifestyle". That person does not make their moral judgments based upon the Word of God. What I don't understand is how Christians, who should make their moral judgments based upon the Word of God can believe that homosexuality is acceptable to God. It appears to me that God's word is quite clear on this subject. What should concern Christians who believe it is acceptable is that this scripture doesn't just condemn those who ARE homosexual it also condemns those who condone it.

This scripture condemns not only homosexuality but also envy, murder, gossip, slander, wickedness, God hating, faithlessness, etc. Why would a Christian accept the sinfulness of these things and not homosexuality when the same verse also condemns homosexuality? To be honest we must believe what God has said. All these things are detestable to God INCLUDING homosexuality.

Rom 1:22-2:1

22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools
23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.
25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator — who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.
27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28 Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.
29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,
30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;
31 they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
32 Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

A book written by the minds of men can have plenty of versus taken out of context. A book that is written by something more advanced than humans should be completely flawless. Additionally, no verse should be able to be taken out of context, for God would see this happening ahead of time.

...or am I just expecting too much of God?
