if god existed then there would be one expression of him on earth, not thousands, just like the fact that our moral compass is unified. every culture agrees with the idea of "doing unto others as you would have them do to you" but no two cultures agree on who god is or what he/it is. so how can we know if god is real?

"You're going to hell" and "Convert to God or you will die forever" I have heard Christains say this all the time. Let us compare it to the radical Islams that point a gun to your head and say "Quote these words out of the Qu'ran or I will shoot you" Is this not the same thing? one may be more serious than the other, but they are the same. You see many of people have put a bad name on Islams, just like the Christains. If only If only some people would spend the time to not threaten someone's life and to ease it on them. Do you belive that there are radical Christains that ruin our reputations?

I mean how did he do that? Was he born again after every time he had sex with his gay prostitute boyfriend? Did he hold the world record for being born again? Is there a limit?

Didn't he run the risk that he would die between the time he started the sex and when he did his little ritual to be born again and then he would go to hell? Or could he cross his fingers or something while he was having sex so it didn't count?

I think if many of you came to Britain you would leave with a very different feeling towards us.

Tony Blair may like Americans, but the rest of the UK thinks the USA is full of rude, loud, obnoxious people. Not trying to sound rude myself, but I'm just pointing this out as a fact. Most Britons feel much more affinity with Australians, Kiwis, Canadians, etc., then we do with Americans.

Christianity is the following of the teachings of Jesus Christ. Judaism and Islam don't follow the teachings of Christ.
Atheists say they don't believe (but secretly want to)
Agnostics believe but don't understand what or why
And last of all Creationist are not just Christians. Genisis is not just a Chapter in the Christian Bible It is a book in every religious order. Buddists Hindu, Islamic and Jewish faiths all speak of Creation as well as Native cultures such as the Navajo, Hopi, Inuit, Athabasken, Tlingit and Souix. So anyone really want to go down this road?

why can you believe that your faith is the really TRUE one when it is so rooted in your own cultural background?
if you had been born in africa you wouldnt be believing it, so why is it so difficult to see that your believes are based on cultural and not spiritual reasons?
how, if your religion is the true one and it gives you great joy and whatever you want to say, are there other people who, your god has denied the possibility of ever knowing anything about it? (think of many tribes in africa and other parts of the world)

I am referring to the people that populate the mega-churches in my area, Southern California. They apparently are people that have left other Christian denominations and now refer to themselves as only Christians. They also seem very comfortable judging other religions and discussing the bible with others as if all people take it literally. They also seem to be predominately Anglo-Saxon people.

Yeah I know it's more than a month away, but I wanna plan ahead. Me and my girlfriend are both 17, I dunno if she'd prefer to be taken out to dinner or what. She's not really high maintenance or anything, she likes simple things. I'm planning on at least getting her flowers, some chocolates (might be cliche, but I know for a fact that she loves chocolate), and a handwritten poem for sure.

What do you guys think I should add?
