Matthew 15:20-25 (NIV)

21Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession."

23Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, "Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us."

24He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel."

25The woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said.

Why didn't you continue She said ,and I paraphrase, Yes Lord But even the dogs eat the scraps from the masters table... Jesus was impressed with he FAITH and cured her. This must have been a test of her because Jesus later told the parable of the Good Samaritan, The Holy Spirit sent Stephen to an Ethiopian who was reading the Old Testament prophecies of Christ. Sounds like God loves all of mankind to me.... Jim

Before Jesus died only those who followed the law of Moses were considered clean. His death opened a new way for all men to come to God. That was the mystery hidden from the foundation of the world.

Colossians 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone believing, both to Jew first, and to Greek;

Rom 10:11 For the Scripture says, "Everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame." Isa. 28:16
Rom 10:12 For there is no difference both of Jew and of Greek, for the same Lord of all is rich toward all the ones calling on Him.

Paul was personally taught by Christ after the Damascus road calling. The Gospel went to the Jews first, then the Gentiles. Christ died for the sins of the Church, the elect, the ecclesia, the called out ones.

You can't pick one or two verses out of the Bible and think you are a scholar.Sorry it would be like reading part of a recipe form a cook book.You have to read the whole recipe.
The Bible is a great book and should be read by all.Because the Bible is a recipe to live by.Gods recipe to man,for life.Jesus died for the sins of the world.He was rejected by his own,for his own knew him not.
But His sheep hear His voice and follow Him.I pray you hear His voice.Love Nana<><

I made my way through The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy recently (the movies, not the books) and it made a lot more sense to me than the Bible (plus it has those cool giant elephants with spikes on their tusks) so I'm converting and accepting Frodo as my personal savior.

But I'm wondering what sort of torture device I could wear on a gold chain to let the world know I'm a Frodoian because apparently if you're going to have a religion torture devices are all the rage.

Jesus forgave sins which prove Him to be GOD. Jesus forgave guilt which made Him GOD as well.

He was not calling anybody a dog. The pius Jews called those who were not descendants of Abraham dogs. This was common language in those days.

She was not offended and recieved forgiveness. You are offended and do not recieve forgiveness because you accuse Jesus of wrong. The Word says Jesus was sinless and you accuse him of wrong.

Repent ye sinner.

Christ died to show humanity how to attain eternal life. This is the true meaning of salvation.
He who disobeys Him will continue to die.
He who repents and does the Will of the One True God resurrects here and enjoys eternal life in Heaven.
He who reads and applies the sacred verses of the Holy Bible understands all these points.

Imagine the scenario. Jesus has told them to love one another and to love their neighbor. A gentile woman (shriek!) comes yelling at their rabbi to help her. Jesus says (in clear hearing of his disciples), "Why should I give to dogs what is meant for the children?"

Then she said, "Even the dogs get crumbs."

Jesus helped her. And the disciples learned a great lesson.

Jesus died for the sins of all mankind. We all are as guilty as the next of His crucifixion. Like so many people, you just read the part of the Bible that suits your purpose. If you read further, you will learn that He told her, Woman your faith hath healed thee.

wrong!
when you finish reading the whole of the New Testament, you will see that you are doing as many flawed people do; you are jumping to conclusions before you hear the entire story.
