I'm not religious, but i have a great deal of respect for most christian churches.
The other day i stumbled upon a Bible and decided to read it and found out that in the Genesis people lived like 900 years.
Why is this? What are they trying to say? how do you interpret that?..or if it's not a metaphore of some kind, why would they tell that?

Sceptics feel free to answer...try to keep it respectfull tho...

Many people say it isn't but I think it is. Obviously if it has extreme damage done, you dont eat it, but if it doesn't look bad... why not??

My friends and I were walking and one of my gal friends said "Tim, honestly, why do you act mean and rude?" and I was like "what?". She's not the only one who said that. What's so mean and rude about asking straight-to-the-point, one-question-one-answer questions? I just asked, "Do you listen to mozart? 'cause you hum alot of mozart's work?" and "Why do you like trains? Do people call you Choo-Choo?"

what they are doing" (i dont know the exact quotation)...If he was asking for forgiveness to people who didnt have to believe in him but who could see him and even touch him...
How come that many christians in here think they have the right to "decide" who will go to heaven and who will not...
If jesus forgave even those who being closed to him decided not only not to believe in him but even torture him, who are you to judge any other?
if you base your reasons on the bible, i think the word of jesus himself may come first to any other.

As a percentage, how many are actively and routinely involved in an activity that the chruch strictrly forbids and which they would deny unless caught red-handed?

I don't think it's all that hgih. Maybe only 10%.

I was watching a documentary about these indigenous groups of people in Mexico. These people descended from the Mayans. When they approached some people on a street in Mexico; they called them Mestizos. Does anyone know what this means?

It doesn't have to be your religion....would be good if you chose a different one other than your own...... just one you think would most benefit the world.

I'd have to say Buddhism.

I just don't get it, psychics ask for DOB and people who claim to be prophete of God ask for DOB. Does God need your DOB to tell your past/present/future or that person is a false prophet?
