I learned something like atheists can be spiritual (which I am), Christians could believe in evolution, and I learned more about religious thoughts and documents provided by answerers (which helped me at history)

Just by reading some of your answers you seem like a pretty nice guy with an open mind. I have met a lot of kind hearts out there who want to know more about a certain belief (say, Islam) but do not have any reliable sources. I've learned that deep down, most people have good intents...And that there are a lot of gays and atheista on the internet hahah. Anyway...God bless (I mean...blessings..?) and peace. hehe

I haven't learned a whole lot yet. Many times the same conviental points are being made by both sides of very stereotypical and "yawn" boring debates.

I also found that I am very unique on my view of creation. Besides the proffessor who taught it, and possibly some of the students in my class, I have yet to run into someone who really take the theology of creation seriously.

Hmm.. thats a huge questions.. let me answer it honestly..

Its amazing to know that Christians have a lots of answers, own ideas, own interpretation to a single basic questions about Christians, For example, is Allah their God? Some said yes, some said Not, some said Dont know... i was surprised for Christians can't answer explicitly the most basic belief in their religion. Conclusion - Christians have thousands of differents answer to their basic belief.

I always heard that muslim is the monster, the killer, the condemned what ever evil one can say.. but from answer yahoo, i only see that christians and atheist who was the one who likes to condemned, to curse, to talk shiit, full of hatred and blamed muslims more!! Aint that a surprise? When a christians condemned Islam, the muslims answerer will reply in a good, full of knowledge and nice good answer. But its vice versa when christians answer muslims questions, most of them will give the worst word they ever know, it shows they are full of hatred. Conclusions- This kind of people are the 1 who create terrorist- they can be the greatest terrorist of christians too.

It seems that Religion is the most popular and hot topics in answer yahoo.

Well, too many repeated questions and it just shows that do Christians know their basic belief? What do they know? This is due to questions from pure Christians about "Is Jesus really God?" "Is homosexual a sin?" etc...

But, it is still a wonderful place to learn about everything and the fastest way to get information.. but the true is.. the dumb has control the answer yahoo.....LOL.

Actually I've learned a LOT about Scientology... I know that sounds like a weird thing to learn, but after reading a bit about it many months ago, I started digging as deep as I could. You wouldn't NOT BELIEVE the crap this cult does!

I learned a lot about other religions as well as my own. when answering some of the questions, i had to read up on things and in the process i learned more about the history and meaning of things. asking questions clarified some things i didn't know about other religions

I have learned . . . . that:

-few people are willing to accept that at the core of all beliefs, faiths, denominations, sects etc humanism is the guiding philosophy.

-Many people become intolerant almost abusive if faced with questions that run contrary to their faiths and beliefs. The tendency to jealously guard and justify one's own beliefs is quite evident

-Yahoo Answers actually monitors and strives to control "freedom of expression" inspite of its stated policy that one" can ask almost about anything" (I think this is a positive gesture to lessen flare & outbursts of emotions regarding faith-based beliefs and traditions

-Majority YA folk are genuine and sincere in questions and answers

I've learned the numbers of non believers has grown to staggering proportions and there is still a tremendous belief in the unbelievable without even a sense of honesty.

This may sound cynical, but I have learned that the modern educational system is more concerned with ideology than with education. Every day I am amazed at the vast amount of baseless historical revisions, over-simplifications, and general lack of information.

I have learned that there are many diffrent beliefs and none are the only right way.

A woman asked, "Rabbi, what of those that follow other Teach-
ers?"
And He answered, smiling, "There are many rooms in your Father's
2443

house, and many fields in Heaven. And I come again, and yet again, and
as there are many languages of mankind, so are there many Names for
Deity. Rejoice in it, and be glad of the diversity of Deity, and do not
hate those that call the Diety by other names, but rather weigh them by
their deeds."
And one asked of Him, "How should we pray?"
And He answered, saying, "Pray in your own fashion, as you will,
for all prayer is good. But if you wish, pray thusly:"
"Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom
come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread, and forgive us our errors, as we forgive the errors of
others. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."
"And if you feel this prayer should be given to the Mother, then
let it be so."
And a Priest shouted, angrily, "Shall God be then female?"
And He answered, "The Deity is what It will be, not what you
make It into. You see the Diety in your own image; if you are vengeful,
then your God is vengeful. If you are full of hate, then your God is
hateful. But if you have love, then you shall know the Deity's love.
Listen, and be wise."
