Because there is no white equivalent of Jessie JAckson to complain that the term 'white' is politically incorrect. I really don't care, personally, but that's the reason why.

I don't know any person that has a fit over being called white. Well I know ONE person, but that person is really weird and I think she is kind of dumb. I wouldn't say ALL white people are like her!

ANd people from Canada, New Zealand, and Australia are white too-- not just Europeans.

You can call me what ever you want.
People at work call me cracka, it just doesn't bother me.
You ever see that old 70's movie Planet of the Apes.
The white human guy says No to an ape and it freaks out on him.
Well that's what some people remind me of when you let a simple word have power over you.
But hey I'm all for power.
If they let it hurt them so much then all the better... after all it's what it was intended for ... wasn't it?

not sure why a white person would have a fit for having called white. also, i dont really understand the whole "african-american' thing either.

I am a white AMERICAN. I don't need any other country in front of that. I'm not 'ashamed' to be called a white American!!

None of you know what Caucasian means! It was a SMALL group of people near Caucus Mountains! Most CAUCASIANS are either Irish, german, british etc...

so 99% of white people in USA are NOT caucasian, they are European American.

i've never seen or heard of a white person having a fit when called white. call me white, call me euro-american, i don't care, and i doubt 99% of us would care.
