That depends. If you are lying, then all of what you say may be a lie. Of course, you could be lying about some parts and not others. If you are mistaken, you could be giving me wrong information that is what you honestly believe. Either way, I will decide whether or not to believe you based on how your comments fit with what I believe is the truth. I could also be mistaken in what I believe. If my basis for understanding is different from yours, we will see things differently.

Of course! I invented my own religion, based on the parts I like from all the "real" religions. And I'm not going to Hell, because it's against my religion:) What I'm saying is I believe whatever I want.
