It doesn't have to be your religion....would be good if you chose a different one other than your own...... just one you think would most benefit the world.

I'd have to say Buddhism.

God loving people, is it possible for you to be open minded on this question... and not just say your own?

I believe that if everyone would actually follow their OWN religion, the world would be a better place.

What do I mean by this? Take some time to study the world's major religions. In every one you will find the teaching that one should love others, practice fairness and humility, and treat everyone the way they would want to be treated.

These teachings are always clouded by dogma and those that would use the religion for their own personal or political agendas (whether they consciously mean to or not).

If everyone would tell the people who are amassing power and/or wealth by telling people how to enact their religion to take their holy books and and shove 'em, and then stop and follow their religion as it is laid out plainly in their scriptures, this world would be a much better place.

Well, if I HAD to pick a religion, Buddhism would be it, since it isn't centered on belief in an imaginary sky-daddy like so many other religions. Also, I'd throw in the Wiccan Rede, since it's a good rule to follow: "If it harms none, do as you will." This forces one to consider one's actions and how they will affect others. Then I'd toss in another rule, which doesn't seem to be part of any religion: "Thou shalt mind thine own damned business." The three Abrahamic religions would do well to add that one to their list of commandments, and then follow it strictly. This would be of immense benefit to the rest of the world.

It depends what you're talking about. If you mean spiritually, for our eternal fates, etc., Christianity. If you mean RIGHT NOW, physically, today while we still live on earth, then, hmm... maybe Buddhism... I don't know... here's the ones I know would NOT be good (no offense to anyone's BELIEFS, but I'm assuming you meant the second meaning so that's what I'm going with)-

Islam
Atheism (it's a belief system, if not a religion)
Hinduism
Cults of Christianity (Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc)

There are more, but those are the obvious ones =).

Have a good day and an open mind!

I am Christian but I do agree with you.

Buddhism is the one religion that would most benefit this world. Buddist do not judge or persecute others who have different beliefs. Buddhists promote peace and prosperity to all on earth.

Growing up, my Grandma (who was of Spanish descent) was a strong Christian believer but always had a statue of buddha near her front door.

It is not religion or religions beleifs that is the problem...the problem is us (human being).
We have "not" mature enogh to be able get along with one another, we are still "kids" in the evolution terms.

I say, give us a few millions years and the world be ok...
possible because we will not be around anymore, we destroyed ourselves. So, the rest of the species can enjoy this beautful earth....

I have to admit that know nothing about Buddhism. Of the religions I know, I could not recommend one of them. What this world needs a big dose of tolerance.

I think an universal religion or a faith for all of humankind is possible or even desirable. The different branches of humanity have different ways of looking at the world, each of which is valid for them. It is only right that they have different religions, which of course they do.

My belief is the one true answer.

For all my brothers and sisters, we are all children of the one true creator. The creator is called by many names God, Yahweh, Jehovah and All-aha

The devil and evil exists in every man. And each one of us either feeds him or tries to extinguish him.

In another dimension, Heaven or the afterlife awaits us.

Those of us who have suppressed our devils, will join or become one with the Holy Ghost. While those who have sought out more material lives fade from existence.

Each of us should pay more attention to our inner spirit or light and learn to shine.

Love thy neighbor, use compassion in your everyday life and spread this message of love.
The truth is, the creator put us here and moved to that other dimension, but left us with fine teachers who have shown us a way to get to them in Heaven.

Live long and well............
