Yeah I know it's more than a month away, but I wanna plan ahead. Me and my girlfriend are both 17, I dunno if she'd prefer to be taken out to dinner or what. She's not really high maintenance or anything, she likes simple things. I'm planning on at least getting her flowers, some chocolates (might be cliche, but I know for a fact that she loves chocolate), and a handwritten poem for sure.

What do you guys think I should add?

Girls are usually romantic type that's why I know for sure that just being with YOU in Valentine's day is more than enough to make her happy…but an original poem would be cool ...she would certainly love it (and would treasure it in her lifetime!!) not just because of the content but the effort that you've put on it... And the simple fact that YOU are the one who made it.... but if you would like to give her another special gift, I would suggest an AV presentation in a CD (flash or PowerPoint) of your special moments together (photos) with your favorite song as the background music...seeing those precious moments would surely give her tears of happiness... of course flowers and chocolates would be fine for that special day.

Girls also want 100 % of the guy's presence during Valentine’s Day...so I think your presence of mind is very significant to make your lady happy.

Maybe a romantic music (in the background), a dance and good conversation would make that day perfect…

Good luck and God Bless!!!

That's so sweet! If you're not sure whether she'd like to go to dinner or not, then you should take her to a fancy resturaunt now, before the big day, and see how she fares.
