I agree with #1, or I used too. Now I think bisexuality is as right as rain, but at one time I didn't. I think bisexuals are true and honest and I believe they should be welcomed and applauded. However, alot of people find it difficult (since they went through so much he11 finding ONE SEX attractive), that another person can find 2 sexes attractive. I believe they can and I say more power to them. I pity them for the "doubting Thomas' though." I hope they find all the happiness and peace and contemtment their hearts can hold.
As they used to say in the 1970's: Bisexuality: It doubles your chances of a date on Saturday Night.

I think that the gay community is very prideful and when someone who is not the "extreme" steps in, they are probably offended. In mainstream America, many bisexuals are seen as attention-seekers because people do not really believe that they like both men and women. I'm not gay or bisexual so this is from a heterosexual's point of view. I might need a little more insight to answer your question.

i think of that particular, each and every so often the community seems down on me and different bisexuals, yet does it remember? If we actually cared approximately what human beings thought approximately us, we'd maximum probable lie approximately our sexuality thoroughly and faux to be today. it must be real that bisexuals are indecisive, yet i'm pleased with who i'm. i'm no longer able to now say that ok positive, i will assert i'm a lesbian purely so human beings will ease up; I additionally ought to on no account lie and faux that i've got not got an charm for different women human beings. The LGBT community must be encouraging openness between others, no longer demoting it! I trust Blaze whilst she says it is confusing to have confidence a bisexual to no longer bypass returned to a guy; it is likewise confusing for me to have confidence a lesbian to no longer go away me for a woman. i do no longer choose anybody except they are purposefully doing injury, so why ought to different human beings choose me? perchance sooner or later human beings will cease being concerned approximately different human beings's sexuality. i wish so. thank you for asking this question!! :)

There is the stereotype that people haven't fessed up to their true desires etc. The idea that a man is just pretending to be bisexual because it's an easy halfway point to actually admitting that he's actually gay (and vice versa).
Kinsey's (I think) research separates sexual orientation into more of a continuum of sexual practices and frequencies etc and I think it's possibly more reflective of reality.
Other people see bisexual individuals as "over-sexed" etc and "easy" etc because they're not limiting themselves to one gender.
Bottom line is that these are simply stereotypes and overgeneralizations (IMHO) and do not reflect reality most of the time.
Cheers,

The gay community is full of the same hypocriticalness of the straight community. You are taught this by others. I am gay and i do not look down on very many people, much less a bisexual. I would tend more to look down on another gay than i would others.
Open your eyes people, look around you. If you did not put people down then others wont put you down. And do not tell me that you are never put down.

Because bisexuality, some believe, is a pathological duality comparable to 'split personality disorder' whereby sexual arousal can switch without notice like when a schitzophrenic 'switches' from sane to delusional..
Others claim that bisexuals are decadent and selfish and have a sex addiction that compells them to be attracted to both sexes simultaneously.
Personally, I don't have an opinion on bisexuality. I can not comment on things I fail to understand.

As a lesbian, Personally I do not date bisexual women. It's a trust issue with me. I want a woman that doesnt go which ever way the wind blows. Myabe thats unfair, but I dont want a woman that is with me, and then the next day she wants a man, then she wants to try women again, then men...you get my point.
I'm not saying pick one and stay with it, its your choice. But I when a woman tells me she is bisexual and she is interested in me, i'm not mean or anything but I RUN the other way.

In the GLBT community, the only people that aren't looked down on are certain sects of the gay and lesbian communities.

Unfortunately, there are those in both communities that do not recognize bisexuality as a separate orientation.
It is a fool's move on both sides IMO.
