I think so. We can worship an opinion, even our own. We can worship gnostic gospels, Dawkins, money, cars, family anything.

Is it right to say its all classified as idolatry? Or are there some things that is ok to put ahead of G-d??

Blessings

"It seems to me, that if Fundamentalist Christians in America were to take one-tenth of the money and energy that they put into trying to eradicate competing spiritual worldviews and put it instead into feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, visiting the sick, and fighting for social justice — just like that rabbi from Nazareth supposedly suggested — our nation and our world could be genuinely transformed into a decent place to live for everyone, instead of just the wealthy and powerful. It might even make them look like good people and their ideas seem worth investigating."

Like, when a person continually makes hurtful comments or gives left-handed compliments. Are some people really that socially stupid and don't mean what they say?

Was it the example he set to future generations that conquers sin?

Was it something more metaphysical?

If I'm even going to bother studying Christianity on a personal level, an answer to this question is foremost. It is the difference between following the word of divine law (if it was an example) or praying all day and all night (if it was metaphysical).

Try your best to argue it on Biblical terms. Please post only logical answers (if they exist). Thank you.

Honestly, why on earth would atheists be posting on this "religion and spirituality" forum other than to make measly attempts to convert religious people into atheism? Is that all you people care about? And you say that you don't intrude on people's beliefs but that Christians are always trying to convert people. BS

All the Christians I've met (I'm agnostic, but I don't try to convert people) have been very nice and some have asked me about Jesus and God but none have ever insulted me like the atheists insult people on this board.

Atheists, why are you here and why can't you just leave 95 or so percent of the population the hell alone?

Atheists- What if Christianity is right? If you're right, we all cease to exist after death and life is pretty much meaningless. If Christianity is right, if you die an atheist (I don't want to play the hell card but it is a part of Christianity) you will not spend eternity with the Lord in Heaven. I am not going to say that you will burn forever in the lake of fire because I admit that I really don't know what actually happens when you go to hell. But I know that it isn't Heaven. Wouldn't it be better just to be safe and pick something to believe in?

Please don't just give the a thumbs down and post something without seriously consider what I'm saying.

I am a guy and I can always tell if another guy is attractive or not, but I am not sexually attracted to them. When I tell other people about this, they think I am gay or bisexual. Does anyone else have this ability, cause it seems like other guys can't do this or just don't feel comfortable talking about it.

OK i'm really proud to be african american..but i think i am a bit to much proud...But thats not the point...It infuriates me when people call me another race like "Are you spanish? or indian or something?" then when i say i'm black they go "Black and....whateles?" but i'm not mixed..I know most of us are but i dont mean serioiusly mixed like half this and half that...My father was very dark skinned and his whole family was, and my mother is lightskinned and her whole family is dark-redish, but their both of the african decent
At times for some reason, i look different skin tones, sometimes i look darkskinned, sometimes i look lightskinned, but most the time i look dark-reddish..Someone needs to explain that to me please..
But my main question is how do i serperate myself from other races, how can i show people i'm african american, somethin besides a shirt saying "I'm black",i mean something where you could just look at me and say "Oh yeah hes black"

My friend just graduated from LPN school! She received a gift from her aunt. Now you must understand she spent a year studying and getting up early for school, no job, just school. For a graduation/Christmas gift her parents and brother gave her a two week trip to Disney Land in FL. She left two days after graduation and reciving the gift from her aunt. When she came back from her trip, she was confronted with a not so nice note from her aunt in her stack of bills, christmas cards and monthly junk mail. What is the proper etiquette for this? Should she be offended and hurt or should she just send a thank you note asap? She wants to just send the gift back with a thank you note stating thanks but no thanks! Please if any one has any thing to enlightin us, please let us know. Thanks

That word applies to Cubans,Dominicans, and some Colombians.
I refuse to believe that are any Puerto Ricans that are Mulatto.

I could not care less what the bible says. What if the Godzillians claim to have a book "inspired by God"? That book would have as much validity as yours. That book would have as much proof of that claim as yours as well.

One day Apostle of Allah walked into his adopted son Zaid’s house. Zaid was not there but he caught a glimpse of his voluptuous and beautiful wife Zainab (she was apostle’s first cousin) in her birthday suit.

Tabari wrote:

"One day Muhammad went out looking for Zaid. Now there was a covering of hair cloth over the doorway, but the wind had lifted the covering so that the doorway was uncovered. Zaynab was in her chamber, undressed, and admiration for her entered the heart of the Prophet".

The admiration aroused him instantly, which Zainab also noticed and mentioned it to her husband Zaid later. He rushed to his father’s house and offered Zainab to him. Mohammed worried about possible bad press and refused to accept it. But Allah will not take no for an answer and insisted on their union.

Q 33:37 We gave her (Zaid’s wife) unto thee in marriage, so that (henceforth) there may be no sin for believers in respect of wives of their adopted sons”.

I buy a coloring book and I use a copying machine to copy the pages. I do this so that when children come over, they won't fight over which page they get to color, because I have more than one copy of the same page.
