People actually believe that blacks can be racist, but author Joel Kovel believes differently, he is Author of the book"White Racism".
He explains that a black person cannot be racist, after all who runs most of the financial , and structural resources in the world? who runs the biggest Armed forces in the world? Who in history has turned racist thinking into discriminatory practices?Who institued, and implemented the Jim Crow laws? Who implemented laws to keep blacks and whites from marrying?

ok our president sucks, but for some reason you have to point it out to all Americans like we don't realize. I never voted for George W. I don't need your thoughts , I will decide who I want to be the AMERICAN president by myself. I really don't see many Americans on this site talking about how much they hate Tony Blair and John Howard. Maybe it's just because the British and Aussies are pathectically sad. Perhaps other countries should grow up (Britain and Australia)

Kids say the darndest things, an 11 year old asked me this and it got me thinking.

Why is it that when people witness the beauty, variety, and unity of the earth and the universe they say its mother nature or somthing, and then when there's a hurricane or tornado or tsnami its an "act of god"?

Is that purely an expression or truly what people think?

And if it is just an expression for a formidable force of nature, why can't the good forces of nature be called acts of God?

God created Marriage when he created Eve and gave her to Adam.
The Bible goes on and on about sex outside of marriage. Children born outside of marriage are meant to be ostracised
By some means God impregnated Mary, thus creating an illegitimate child, we know as Jesus Christ.
This is in contradiction with one of the central biblical themes.
In short Christians follow a religion founded by the bas-tard child of an illicit tryst between an alien and an innocent human woman

Also in Genesis..Cain and Abel were the sons of Adam and Eve(making 4 people on earth) Cain killed Abel(down to 3).Cain went out and found himself a wife...where did she come from and who were her parents/grandparents?This is why I can't take the Bible LITERALLY although I accept it as a symbolic representation.

"One morning Allah's Messenger was silent with grief. Maymunah said: Allah's Messenger, I find a change in your mood today. Allah's Messenger said: Gabriel had promised me that he would meet me last night, but he did not meet me. By Allah, he never broke his promises; and Allah's Messenger spent the day in this sad (mood). Then it occurred to him that there had been a puppy under their cot. He gave an order and it was turned out. He then took some water in his hand and sprinkled it on the place. When it was evening Gabriel met him and he said to him: You promised me that you would meet me the previous night. He said: Yes, but we do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture. So the very next morning he commanded the dogs to be killed. He announced that the dog kept for the orchards should also be killed, but he spared the dog used for the protection of extensive fields (or big gardens)." -- Hadith - Muslim, Narrated Maymunah

I am a teacher of twenty years standing. Throughout my career I have become disillusioned with educational programs that do not promote the spiritual, social and academic needs of our children. I would like to start an education centre that includes a wide range of learning experiences that encompass the whole person. I would start with four year olds as I have a child moving into that age group and continue devloping year after year. My focus would be on teaching important literacy, numeracy and communication skills as well as developing a diverse and questioning mind about different cultures, religions, lifestyles, values and especially self esteem. I would appreciate feedback from other parents about the project.

This site is every bit as offensive as the Prophet Mohammad cartoons, and yet no one in Thailand has issued the Buddhist equivalent of a death fatwa or showed up on the street to protest. Is it because they are less religious (doubtful) or less crazy (probably)?:

I don't know why people today have to be hated on for what happened in the past, and I believe in forgiveness.
Sometimes I use tough love, hoping it will get people to stop hating.
But as I meditated yesterday. I had a vision of a sad
Black woman, and saw a dead Black child. So Spirit
moved me to have more compassion, and say I apologize
if any of my questions have hurt anyone.

i mean, i hope the majority of people here are sane adults, but the type of hatred i see in some of the questions posed, makes me wonder, about people in general, tolerance, freedom, and plain general respect towards each others accepted form of belief. this is a great forum to express views and discuss things, yet seems some people just want to encourage seperation amongst people, and why does it matter so much, to those who dont believe a certain way, so much that they need to fabricate lies, or even promote negativity, to get their point across. am i the only one who wishes some of these folks should just grow up , and accept peoples differences, move forward, and lead by example instead of just trying to push another idea(religion down) and thus elevate your own idea or lack thereof.... ?
