No no no, Islam does not teach us to hate non believers, how can we if they could be our mothers, neighbors and men's wives?? (Muslim men can marry non Muslim women)
From: http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/notislam/misconceptions.html#HEADING8
even though the Creator has clearly specified that no other way of life is acceptable to Him except Islam (i.e. submission to Him as embodied in the Qur'an and Sunnah), He has also commanded the Muslims to be tolerant of people who espouse other creeds. From the Sunnah, specifically in the study of the Sunnah called Al-Awsat by Al-Tabarani, we find regarding those non-Muslims living in the Islamic state,
The Messenger of Allah (saas) said, "One who kills a non-Muslim person under protection (Arabic: dhimmi) will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise."
Also from the Sunnah, specifically in a report from Al-Khatib, we find that the Messenger of Allah (saas) also said:
Whoever hurts a non-Muslim person under protection, I am his adversary, and I shall be an adversary to him on the Day of Resurrection.
In short, Islam is intolerant of false ideas, however it is tolerant of the people who hold to those ideas.
We don't thin at ALL that it is unholy to eat with them..
Where did u get it from ?? if it were in some text I guess it was misinterpreted.

Islam doesnt teach Muslims to hate non-Muslims and where did you get the idea that Islam forbids us to eat with them? I'm 19 and I hang out with my non-Muslim friends all the time.
Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi writes:
The Qur'an does not say that non-Muslims cannot be Muslims' friends, nor does it forbid Muslims to be friendly to non-Muslims. There are many non-Muslims who are good friends of Muslim individuals and the Muslim community. There are also many good Muslims who truly and sincerely observe their faith and are very friendly to many non-Muslims at the same time.
Islam teaches us that we should be friendly to all people. Islam teaches us that we should deal even with our enemies with justice and fairness. Allah says in the Qur'an in the beginning of the same Surat Al-Ma’dah: [O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah as witnesses to fair dealings and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just, that is next to piety. Fear Allah, indeed Allah is well-acquainted with all that you do.] (Al-Ma’dah 5 :8)
God knows best

You are mistaken dude !!! there is no such thing in islam to hate non-believers and we can eat with non-muslims....
Giving you the example of myself, we had christains in our neighbours and some times we get togather and have party and we used to eat togather.. islam never forbids us to make them friends, infact we are told to respect them and if they are minority in your country, we should give them rights equal to majority peoples, especily their religios rights !!

Who told you this???,of course,it is permitted to us to eat non-believers’ food and drink as long as it is not haram like pork,or wine.prophet Muhammad(PBUH)ate jews’ food.
and if you noticed, muslims eat in restaurants, and they do not ask who owns them, right?
I had a christian teacher, and I was used to visiting her,her food was so delicious, especially her pies;-)

Their religion is very evil, just read their book of lies, the quran. It teaches them to not befriend a Christian or a Jew, and if they don't convert, then kill them. A loving God would never teach us to do such evil!!!
