i mean, i hope the majority of people here are sane adults, but the type of hatred i see in some of the questions posed, makes me wonder, about people in general, tolerance, freedom, and plain general respect towards each others accepted form of belief. this is a great forum to express views and discuss things, yet seems some people just want to encourage seperation amongst people, and why does it matter so much, to those who dont believe a certain way, so much that they need to fabricate lies, or even promote negativity, to get their point across. am i the only one who wishes some of these folks should just grow up , and accept peoples differences, move forward, and lead by example instead of just trying to push another idea(religion down) and thus elevate your own idea or lack thereof.... ?

The one thing that I have come to realize ( or was confirmed) since I have come on this site, it that a minority group of people are simply rude, ignorant, gutless people who find the anonymity of the internet a safe haven to post absolutely disgusting material. I am guessing the vast majority of these people wouldn't dare behave like this when face to face with someone.

Friend, I have been on this site over 6 months, & ask about 12 questions, I have been serving God almost 37 yrs. I think I have grown up some in those 37 yrs. Do I accept other peoples views, it all depends on how you want to use that word accept, Do I go along with their views, NO, do I know there are other views, Yes, I have to go by the way of TRUTH, & there is only ONE TRUTH. And that is that of the Apostles of Old. So in 6 months plus I have asked only 12 questions,, should I change the way I asked my questions, No, For people to give their ideals on it, I could change it so that a 5 yrs old can understand it, & many adults will never know what I am asking, & then to the part of me answering someones else questions, No, If I took the scriptures & gave them a Bible answer, Those who ask a question & then turn around in the next sentence & tell me how to answer it, I look pass their question, because they really don't want an answer, Some food for thoughts.

Its what happens when fanatics target innocent people and kill them.
Why do the british (and most of europe apparently) dislike the french? Its because of history and wars in the past. Lets not forget, the germans (Prussia) used to be our allies when we were at war with the french and spanish over many centuries before WW1.
Fanaticism draws out bad feelings from those who are probably too quick to react and have possibly never spoken with someone of another faith on these matters.
We must all target the fanatics and stop them brainwashing the young.

You did not give any wexamplse, but I agree there is too much gay bashing and you are going to hell if you don't agree with me attitude. But be careful because anytime you poin out sometnig like this in an honest open way, other people will ask if you are sane and why you question peoples motives, opinions and beliefs. They will accuse you of not being tolerant. Just a heads up.

This is a courtroom and there are lawyers on every team. Discrediting the opposition, making a case, winning the issue is what it's all about. If it was a tolerance party no one would be forced to evaluate their position and address their lack of learning on an issue. Everyone wants everyone else to see it their way - tolerance is for real life, here we can live a little. I agree that can be done without name calling but we are not having a singalong.

Some of the responses on this site are pretty ridiculous, you must admit that. Some of the beliefs that people hold are equally as ridiculous. If people start using the silly rationale that I have seen here to justify their beliefs then they need to have the dtupidity of their resonses pointed out to them. There is a saying, Ít's better to remain silent and let people think you are an idiot than to open your mouth and prove it'. Some of the people here should take note of that.

We all have our own opinions about everything under the Sun and even Gods of all faiths. So one mans meat is another ones poison. Don't worry and just live your life within your own ideas and beliefs.

Some people think that they have the answers to everything and they are right no matter what. Give them evidence that they are wrong and they will even dispute that. It is called EGO and PRIDE. Too many Chiefs and no Braves as the saying goes.

All humans get pushed around, made fun of, and criticized. Which makes of have to struggle to maintain our self-esteem. So we tend to look for the negative in
others and things, so we won't feel so bad about ourselves. Unfortunately, focusing too much on the negative, only makes us feel worse.

The majority of people here are sane. I think. :) But the vocal minority seems to drown out any attempts at peaceful and intellectually stimulating conversation. It's very sad actually.
