God is a just God... that's an essential characteristic of what makes him God. Now, when a law is broken, there is a consequence. Let's call breaking a law a sin, and a consequence punishment. Because we all sin, we must all be punished. However, becuase He loved us, Jesus chose to suffer the punishment on our behalf. Thus God is still just... sin --> punishment. Yet we are afforded mercy by Christ. Yet he accepts this punishment on his terms... that we have faith in him, believe his words, be baptised, keep his commandments, and repent when we sin again, which he knows we will do.
He met the demands of justice so we don't have to if we accept his sacrifice, and take advantage of it. Good luck, and I hope this helps you begin the most important study you'll ever do. There are perfectly logical answers, if you look hard enough.

Yes he did. The Old Testament was an example on how we should NOT live our life. The New testament is an example on how we should live our life. But because of little faith, that Jesus was, who he said he was, you will not believe. The fact that Jesus prophezied that we would not believe, and that we would believe those who came in their own name, so that they may receive glory from one another is enough to believe in itself. The word of divine law and metaphysical are examples of Jesus' prophecy. You did not get these two terms from the Gospel, the traditions of men gave them to you
So your questions is "how does that work". The tradions of men tell you that Jesus died on the cross, scripture told you, he would, he told you he would, and he did. What more do you need. Someone else to tell you what you want to hear.
To believe is called Faith.
I will give you faith. Daniel 12:12, 2300 days, is written 200300 days, do the math, 360 days in a year, 30 days in a months. Easter Sunday, April 19

Logic is in the eyes of the beholder. If you want more recent answers to your question why don't you really pray about it and then talk to an LDS Missionary...or just go on your merry blind way...Yes, it was metaphysical...find out how and why.

Jesus died for our sins so that we would not have to reap the consequences of Adam and Eve's actions in the Garden of Eden when they disobeyed God-that act brought spiritual death and possibly physical death.
Yes, Jesus is our example because He was perfect, having never sinned and He was the perfect sacrifice which bridged the gap from us to God the Father- which brings eternal spiritual life.

To your original question-------VERY WELL !!
Not the example---His blood !!
Not metaphysical---supernatural and devine
Why even "poise" that you care at all to "study" Christianity on a personal level ? As if ??
And, as if someone making a stand on Biblical terms would have the slightest forum with which YOU would be informed enough to understand
And to make a call for anyone to make statements that conform to YOUR view of "logic" is call for them to demean themselves and the WORD----it is not set to conform to YOUR VIEW OF LOGIC----IT IS THE WORD OF GOD !!!
and I know damned well that THAT AIN'T TOO LOGICAL TO YOU !!!!

The first human pair were created perfect, designed to live forever and placed in a garden paradise. They were told to multiply and fill the earth. This was God's purpose for mankind - eternal life in paradise worshipping Him as the only True God.
Satan envied the worship that Jehovah received and tricked the first human pair into disobeying their Creator and as a result,Adam and Eve through that sin lost all that was given them. They began to age and they eventually died.
Now as their offspring we all inherit sin and imperfection and as a result we are all slaves to death.
Jesus Christ came to earth as a perfect human to offer his life as a proprietary sacrifice,a ransom,to buy back what the first perfect man(Adam) had all for all mankind, perfection and eternal life.
Those of us who exercise faith in that ransom sacrifice have the wonderful promise and hope of eternal life in Jehovah God's new system of things.
John3:!6 tells us:"For God loved the world(of mankind)so much, that He sent His only begotten Son,in order that everyone exercising faith in him, might not be destroyed but have everlasting life."
If you decide to study God's Word, the Bible consider approaching Jehovah's Witnesses as they have a thorough and accurate understanding of the Scriptures. And they would be only too happy to conduct a free home bible study with you.

when man fell in the Garden, sin entered into the world. In order for this to be reversed, we would have to make a sacrifice for our sins. this is when animal sacrifices came into play. but God sent His son to die for everyone in the world so we would not have to make sacrifices. the only thing we have to do is live for God and believe that Jesus is God's son who came to die.
yes it is metaphysical. but this is very hard to explain. i would love to talk more with you. you can email me at musicmanaggie@yahoo.com

Unfortunately, logic only exists here as interpretations. There are multiple interpretations of this one story. Since the people who wrote it are dead, you have to find your own interpretation. Following someone else's interpretation is about like following a lemming...you never know when you'll reach the cliff.

great question, The idea is God gave us his only son to die for our sins. Mankind was at a point where we have greatly sinned and if the humanrace was to be forgiven, God was going to give us his only son, who will be physical and devine, to teach us to live according to the ten commandments and then by dying and thus being raised to heaven our sins will be forgiven. God loved us so much he made his son suffer the ultimate suffering so that man's sins will be forgiven. This is a very condense version...great ?, never really thought about it in that way.

in order for it to work you must believe that "God" , a supreme being, requires human blood sacrifice for the atonement of "sins". "sins" being the failure to conform to the social codes set forth by an ancient tribe of nomadic goat herding Hebrews.
