I buy a coloring book and I use a copying machine to copy the pages. I do this so that when children come over, they won't fight over which page they get to color, because I have more than one copy of the same page.

I don't think its wrong but probably more expensive than buying more coloring books. Ink is expensive.

i think its really ok and in fact, a good idea, unless you're reprinting the whole book and selling it

It's not wrong. It would only be illegal if you were selling the photocopied pages without permission.

what would be morally reprehensible about doing this? copyright infringement?
i think the FBI would let you slide on that fact that your 'doing it for the kids'
