"But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation." [Jesus of Nazareth, Mark 3:29]. My question: what does it mean to deny and blaspheme the Holy Spirit?

Is it better to fight to change the world into what you think is ideal, or to accept that the ideal way may not always be the best? What about if the majority agrees on ideals, but it still doesn't practically work? (I realize there are many shades of gray in between; feel free to elaborate as you wish.)

As I write this from the Sofitel Hotel across from the al Marwah gate, I am thankful that Allah has given me the priviledge of once again going to on this blessed pilgrimage. I have gone many times before converting to the Zaidiyyah sect ( I used to be a Sunni Imam). But this is the first year that Zaidis have been permitted to go on Hajj because we previously were persecuted for our beliefs.

But praise be to the gods, this year, I go as a true Muslim, a Zaidiyyah. Enough writing, it is time for me to visit the House of Allah.

on CNN today the Food and Drug Administration is approving animal cloned meat as being safe for people to eat, and claims there is no need to indicate on packaging that the meat is cloned (or the milk, say, from a cloned cow).

Should this be allowed? Should they not tell us? What do you think?

Everybody dreams. In the Bible, both in the O.T. as well as in the N.T. We read of various dreams that were regarded to be divine revelations.Nowdays religious leaders generally discourage belief in dreams. Some psychologists regard it as a distorted information in the subconscious mind and not necessarily and indication to future reallity. What are some of the facts about dream ?

With all the talk of Christmas and Jesus and Hannukah too......let's hear it for the rest of us.

I put up a tree for the season, as my husband loves it. It's not a no-no in Voodoo, as Voodoo as practiced in New Orleans is related to Catholism. We took it down last night. I am tired of the Christmas hoopla already. Can't wait to get back into studying my hoodoo/voodoo.

What is up with the rest of us alternative believers? Happy New Year and blessing to you all.

Now I am going to say this and it does NOT apply to ALL women, only SOME, but maybe it will bring some understanding to why SOME women are not treated equally in the workplace. (I get paid the same as my male counterparts and even get to be involved mroe with special projects, only due to the fact that I do my work and dont complain and get crap done).

We have this lady at work, who is always out due to her kid, no problem right, then when she is here she is always on her cell phone on personal calls, she comes in late all the time. Then when she gets behid she goes and cries to our manager, literally cries with tears and gives some lame excuse why she cant get her work caught up. Now tell me she should be paid the same as the rest of us or even get to keep her job?

Why is it that every year, there is a rash of thefts involving nativity scenes at Christmas? What possess people to steal the baby Jesus each year. There is normally at least one story per state (if not more) of someone stealing Jesus off of someone's property or a church scene.

You never hear of anyone deflating the 8 foot tall manorah that's set out for Hannakah in December. No one steals or desecrates teh Star of David when it's hanging on lamp posts (they hang them around here next to frosty).

What possess people do this? I think it's wrong and disrespectful.

In every evolution question i ask of them they always scurry further down the rabbit hole and find another place to hang their "god did it" answer. It seems they are missing the point completely.

If one says that complex things need a begining, and that god is that begining how can they soundly state that god has no begining? God, by his very nature would have to be extremely complex, why then does god not need a designer?

Similarly, how is it so difficult to believe that matter (something that is undeniably real) has simply always existed, however it seems (to them at least) easier to believe that god (something that is highly questionable in terms of existence) has?
