Because Satan keeps turning himself into an angel of light and has deceived so many unsuspecting people into believing that Jesus is pleased with all the pagan rituals connected with Christmas.
Christmas is tainted with greediness, idolatry, drunkeness, commercialism and lies. What does the Bible say about this?
1 Corinthians 5:6__"Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? (So a little badness, makes the whole thing bad.)
Galatians 4:10-11__"Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain." ( How many holidays and days honoring people and events do people observe every year?) None of these celebrations and holidays are approved by God or his Son. Only one celebration are Christians under command from Jesus to remember and how many celebrate it or even know when it is?
(Luke 22:19, 1Corinthians 11:24-25)

When the pagan traditions were absorbed into what became Christianity it became a Christian holiday. That is why both Christmas and Easter are the biggest clambakes in all of Christendom

Saturnalia is Pagan, Mithra is pagan. Christ Mass is Christian. It is the remembrance of the Eurchis, or the last supper.
Romans didn't like Christians, so they celebrated the 'birth' of Christ in December to hide their celebrations during the pagan celebrations.

I know. I stopped this year celebrating christmas because I found out through research where it actually came from. Last year I told my daughter (she was 6) that there was no santa and easter bunny cuz I couldnt stand the thought of lying to her for years. This year I found out that I have been lied to for years by family and chuch about christmas myself. The people usually know the truth but dont want to give up the "fun" of christmas(lights, decorating, presents etc.) Its a very vain celebration. I am choosing to now only keep God's festivals, not "man's".

Yes yes, we know Christ wasn't even born on Christmas or even in the winter season.

We celebrate Christmas because it's a tradition like Mother's Day and Father's Day. It's a day we set aside to honor Jesus and celebrate his birth.

Christmas is SUPPOSED to be a celebration of Christ's birthday, but today it is merely a chance for companies to make more money, and fuel our own greed.
