on CNN today the Food and Drug Administration is approving animal cloned meat as being safe for people to eat, and claims there is no need to indicate on packaging that the meat is cloned (or the milk, say, from a cloned cow).

Should this be allowed? Should they not tell us? What do you think?

They should only allow cloning of the tastiest animals and charge more for all the research.

Personally I hope they clone humans that we can eat. They won't have souls anyway so what's the harm?

EDIT: ok, so, out of your "further info", i'm able to anticipate which you have faith that that's lots greater of a bioethics project than a wellness project; acceptable? honest adequate. i do no longer understand adequate appropriate to the bioethics of the cloning debate to have a reasoned, lucid opinion here, so i'm going to refrain from greater participation in this question.... thank you for giving me some nutrition for thought, nonetheless. (Pardon the pun......)

FDA must differentiate between meat and cloned meat. America always wants to know what they are eating that is different from what they have been eating. Medical conditions demand that we know.

I don't have a problem with it. I'd be more concerned with the steroid use and other potential health threats.
