As I write this from the Sofitel Hotel across from the al Marwah gate, I am thankful that Allah has given me the priviledge of once again going to on this blessed pilgrimage. I have gone many times before converting to the Zaidiyyah sect ( I used to be a Sunni Imam). But this is the first year that Zaidis have been permitted to go on Hajj because we previously were persecuted for our beliefs.

But praise be to the gods, this year, I go as a true Muslim, a Zaidiyyah. Enough writing, it is time for me to visit the House of Allah.

Nope I didn't go this year. No money, no passport, no visa, and no paperwork to prove I'm Muslim. Insha ALLAH my husband and I will go in the summer.

Good for you. I hope you don't end up being a wet spot in the dust. As I am writing this, I am praising my God for not binding the Church, to any one location on the earth.
I need go nowhere to prove anything, or access my God.

Ummm...my guess is that over 30,000 people die there this year.

Between sect violence, mob mentality, a tough and crowded journey, and stampedes.....good luck
