"But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation." [Jesus of Nazareth, Mark 3:29]. My question: what does it mean to deny and blaspheme the Holy Spirit?

Excellent question!! Regardless of what some think, there is, according to the Word, only ONE unforgivable sin - that will be denying the Holy Spirit from speaking through you. This is with regard to when Antichrist comes on the 6th trump, disguised as Jesus. According to Mark 13, some will be delivered up to death(not scary - "death" is just one of satan's many names) as a witness against him, and we are not to pre-mediate what we will say, because it is not us speaking, but the Holy Spirit speaking through us. If you deny that occurance, there is absolutely no forgiveness. period. A hundred years ago, there were those who laughed at this prophecy, because it says that when those are delivered up, that the whole world would be able to see it - since there was no way that was possible, some said it would be because of a miracle from God, but others said it was bull, it just isn't possible. Funny - now we have CNN. hmmmm.....

Well this is what D&C section 76 says about those who will be in outer darkness - where the sons of perdition go...

And we saw a vision of the sufferings of those with whom he (satan) made war and overcame, for thus came the voice of the Lord unto us:
31 Thus saith the Lord concerning all those who know my power, and have been made partakers thereof, and suffered themselves through the power of the devil to be overcome, and to deny the truth and defy my power—
32 They are they who are the sons of perdition, of whom I say that it had been better for them never to have been born;
33 For they are vessels of wrath, doomed to suffer the wrath of God, with the devil and his angels in eternity;
34 Concerning whom I have said there is no forgiveness in this world nor in the world to come—
35 Having denied the Holy Spirit after having received it, and having denied the Only Begotten Son of the Father, having crucified him unto themselves and put him to an open shame.
36 These are they who shall go away into the lake of fire and brimstone, with the devil and his angels—
37 And the only ones on whom the second death shall have any power;
38 Yea, verily, the only ones who shall not be redeemed in the due time of the Lord, after the sufferings of his wrath.

So, I would say those who have 'received' a witness or a knowledge that Jesus is the Christ, then rejected or betrayed his atonement in some way.
Aren't we lucky and glad we aren't the judges!!

Denying the Holy Spirit is the same as denying Christ. Christ saved us, so if you say He did not save us, could not save us, anything along those lines, then that would be denying the spirit. Though it is the best of my understanding, though I am no expert. Ask a pastor or minister, and you would get a more...satisfactory answer perhaps.

It would seem that this is one of the scriptures that states if someone denies Yehoshua bin Yosef (Jesus) is the son of G-d, the person will "burn in hell".. A feeling shared by A MAJORITY of the EVANGELICAL CHRISTIANS in the world..

This is a sad commentary on "the new testament".. Hell is a cartoonish creation of the late first and early second century.. Along with "the devil", these concepts were designed to SCARE PEOPLE INTO THE PEWS..

The spirit, a/o Holly spirit, will present his way's, to you as a way of understanding of things that otherwise, you will not be able to understand your self. Jesus words are directed to those that can ear their spirit that supposedly its Holy, specially with-in a collective society, as in example the U.S. Society. although I know my spirit or my spiritual being, isn't so holly, I do fell the different between what my spirit can offer to my enlightenment, and what the holly spirit of God, that one of the three different individual entities of the trinity, (spirit of HIM(God) self), can offer me, also to become a better person, people a/o individual, in or out the collective U.S., Society. If you believed that the Holly Spirit is on you, while been in a collective society, it can be beneficial, if that doesn't force you to keep your eyes close and blind your self not to see the real work of God, within you. ....Ant that its not doubt your own Spirit and not the Holly Spirit, But your own Spiritual entity. Note:, please ask him, ( if I am correct, in what I said, to my knowledge I'm and I have been politically Incorrect, though God, and my own Spirit as well the Holly spirit him-self, (God) have indicated me, to give you this answer. .....So I did, because I will never deny, nor will I blaspheme, the holly spirit commands, nor his desires, for my self to become. < God bless you, in the name of Jesus, his only begotten Son, and made HIM(God), protect you, and Guide your Spirit forever. Amen.

To deny The Holy Spirit is simply that... not recognizing or accepting.... not submitting to God's authority.

Blaspheming would be stating that the works of God, through The Holy Spirit, are from satan and not from God.
