Everybody dreams. In the Bible, both in the O.T. as well as in the N.T. We read of various dreams that were regarded to be divine revelations.Nowdays religious leaders generally discourage belief in dreams.Some psychologists regard it as a distorted information in the subconscious mind and not necessarily and indication to future reallity.What are some of the facts about dream ?

I once read an article about how when you dream, you're getting images of things that are happening right now. It's like, when you dream, you're having an O.B.E (out of body experience). But those images get distorted with your own imagination sometimes.
It's not my opinion, it's just what I've read.

One might find an answer to a dilemma in a dream, but only because the problem is on their mind and consciously and sub-consciously they are trying to solve it. Dreams come to us all. Visions are something else and are rare events reserved for the most righteous to interpret.

there are no facts about dreams as such
but yes there are many reports about prophesies etc ... these are studied within some smaller scientific fields but not on any large scale
so this is one area where it is down to belief and gathering your own data on it from various places
