What do you think of this? It is about someone very close to me, in my family.

Sara married this man almost 20 years ago. They split not to long after. Then all that time went by with someone else. She still looks terrific.

They got back together, her and her original husband of 20 years ago. This time they didn't marry, they are only living together.

My question is, after all of this he expects her to work for him, live in his house too, for just medical insurance, no wage!

She has held really high paying jobs in the past. But the medical insurance she is working for has a value of about 500 dollars.

She gets 24 hours of work a week, and if that doesn't pay for the insurance, she must put in 50 of her own money. Not sure if that's a week, or month. But it still ties her up for the whole month.

Some of the work is very heavy. She has had rotator cuff surgery in the past.

What do you think?! I think this sounds like slavery, a form of get back.

Ok I am not trying to make trouble and I am sorry that it seems this way. It seems lately that more and more people attack Islam and muslims and other religions in general but Muslims are the target right now. GO to the religion section and you will find a lot of questions attacking muslim people ( all of them)I just asked this question and some of christain people are so quick to point the finger at us muslim people but dont realize that they are not being true to there religion. christanity is a religion of peace as Islam is too. It does not say in Bible to call muslims bad people because of some radicals who went and blew them self's up. Suposedly Bibleeaches Forgivness, love. Where is that love now when a lot fo innocent people and childern are dying in Iraq and Iran? because of the War the benefits only U.

Someone told me a horror story about how a friend ended up in Chernobyl after the nuclear incident. She also mentioned that they don't train their people and tend to drop them off with no communication to anyone in a situation that they were never taught how to deal with. The list goes on and on about how awful it is and how I shouldn't do it even though I really want to. I thought she sounded far-fetched, but I'd like to hear from a few people who actually served.

Please don't just give me the website; I've already been there.

Wether it is about music, politics, love and relationships etc you name it. What is the best way to avoid a shouting and or screaming match with someone who thinks that they are right and you think they are wrong?

I've heard and read about a growing sentiment among some Christian groups that they are being singled out and discriminated against.

My entire life I've watched many Christians be hateful and judgmental toward others. I see a major shift in society by those who are tired of being picked on by those so-called Christians. And I see some Christians being very quick to jump on the "poor me" bandwagon as if they couldn't wait for their turn to be the victim.

Do Christians know other Christians that are like this? Is "Christian Discrimination" being preached in churches? Where is this sentiment coming from? Are there Christians who have experienced discrimination based on their religion in the U.S.? Can you provide examples?

I would like to know how many people out there know that before Sir Charles Darwin (he was knighted by the queen) wrote the theory of evolution he studied to become one of the preisthood of the Catholic Church just like his father, before joining the crew of the Beagle. Also that in his now 'infamious' Origin of Species he actually credited god with creating the first life form (and in so doing eluded, at least I think, to his strong belief in god). It was only later after his death that the modern theory of amino acid chains forming links through random chance came along. Why then is Darwin so hated amonst them Christian community if he creditied god with the first life form. When you answer this question could you include wheather your ocupation is in the scientific field or not. I thank you in advance.

I am an atheist, but I don't see a point in hassling people and telling them their stupid just because they have a different set of beliefs than I do.

This also works vice versa. My saying has always been "To each his own" but I'm not sure why everyone has to get up on their soapbox saying their way is the only way.

All comments welcome...

And likewise, why do gay men like men who dress in drag and conceal their male parts and paste on woman parts and wear makeup and are more feminine that I could ever imagine to be?

Wouldn't that make them STRAIGHT?

Not trying to offend. I've just always been curious about this.

I am a black girl who "acts" a bit different, (I am just being who I am) I don't like the sterotypical black people things meaning (clothing, music etc). I am more on the punk rock side. My delima is that the black people I have interacted with treat me quite badly, by saying mean things about me and taunting me. It makes me feel horrible I am a very nice person other than my diffrences and I don't understand their hostility towards me, I don't treat them any diffrent from anyone else. I am accepted fully by my huge number of white friends without problems but I only have 2 black friends. And I am sad to say it but I am starting to develope hatred towards the race as a whole. Why is it so difficult to accept someone who is diffrent?

and that this farming supported cities, which led to all the big bad stuff we all talk about today, which could not have happened in the groups of up to 150 people which roamed the earth b4 that time. Also there is a genetic mutation tracked to this same time frame which may account for certain types of knowledge in the area of speech and abstract thinking.

When I'm in the city, the gym is mediocre. The toilets are inferior because the tissue paper is hard and the toilet seats are broken, writing on the wall. The walls are crumpled and the mirror is broken. No buckets for pads or tampons. The hallway is dirty and the cafeteria smells like barf. The food is second class and I hardly learn a thing. My books are 5 years old and many activities are not offered at my school. We only get offer basketball or football! NO ONE ENCOURAGES MY ART BUT MY MOM, instead they discourage me! Our teams suck. Spit, gum and trash everywhere!

BUT WHEN I GO TO NEWTON, or some suburb, the first thing I feel is welcomed. The bathroom have new walls, mirrors, music, soft tissue, toilet AND EVEN MINTS! The education is very competitive. The books are up to date. The food is first class. They have things like lacrosse, ice skating, fencing, martial arts, tennis, and woodwork. They play national games. Their teams are better. THERE"S NOT ONE LICK OF TRASH!
