What do you think of this? It is about someone very close to me, in my family.

Sara married this man almost 20 years ago. They split not to long after. Then all that time went by with someone else. She still looks terrific.

They got back together, her and her original husband of 20 years ago. This time they didn't marry, they are only living together.

My question is, after all of this he expects her to work for him, live in his house too, for just medical insurance, no wage!

She has held really high paying jobs in the past. But the medical insurance she is working for has a value of about 500 dollars.

She gets 24 hours of work a week, and if that doesn't pay for the insurance, she must put in 50 of her own money. Not sure if that's a week, or month. But it still ties her up for the whole month.

Some of the work is very heavy. She has had rotator cuff surgery in the past.

What do you think?! I think this sounds like slavery, a form of get back.

Is this what she wants? Is there a reason behind her doing it? Is she just doing it for him?
To me it sounds like she is only doing it to please her ex. Why would anyone be happy working for just medical insurance? I would sit down with this person and have a serious talk. Ask has why she is choosing to live this way. What benefit is in it for her. Is it possible it's related to low self esteem?
