Every Christmas eve we have gift giving games for the adults. This year I want to give the kids their turn to have some fun too. Something simple. There are five children ages 3-12. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

I hear all these stories from supposedly "authentic" sources that ghosts or aliens exist. I wonder, do they really exist, or is it just a bunch of thousands of people who want attention? I figure, if they existed, we would have it on the news as evidence, rather than only having the "story" of a person. Any takes on this?

I have noisey upstias neighbors. They vaccuum, do laundry, have kids screaming and running around all past 10 o'clock at night, sometimes until 2 in the morning. I think it is inconsiderate when the washing machine is bouncing around while I am trying to sleep. Any suggestions as to how to approach them without making enemies?

PS. they live on the top floor so I am not sure if they realize the level of noise they make.

If evolution is true,why are there seeds?

Why do the largest seeds produce the smallest fruit and smalest seeds produce the largest fruit?

If you say evolution had to provide a way to feed life?Evolution is a theory;kind of an inanimate thing,and to say evolution had to do this that and other thing; your giving evolution a living and intelligent quality wich can't be true;cause evolution it's self is not alive.Which makes more sense?It just evolved or a creator knew to provide sustinance for the life He created?

Would it not make sense that bigger fruit should have bigger seed?And vise versa?But it's not like that.Why?

Mustard seed is the smallest seed,yet it produces a large tree,watermelons are a big fruit but also have small seeds.Peaches are a small fruit but have big seeds.Apples and oranges are descent sized,but they also have some small seeds.

Is it just me,or is there something wrong with evolution?

I am sooooo sick of people saying they hate illegal immigrants.(If you are going to say that, don't even give me a f*****g answer!!!) Half of my family and my boyfriend now are all illegal. And I ask him constantly...Why did you come here if Mexico was so great?? (He always tells me it's the best place ever) And his answer...sometimes he says I don't know and sometimes he says because I make so much more money here. I mean we have everything we need, great apartment, we have two Cadillacs, I mean what is the big deal??? Seriously, he pays taxes just like everyone else. But some people have no idea. My boyfriend hasn't seen his mom or younger siblings in over 8 years!! Some people think it's so easy to come here, but it's hell and illegals are not a drain on the economy. The President just increases minimum wage so now Americans can make even more money. I really don't think people should say "hate them" unless they have experienced knowing one and hearing their feelings. PLZ!!

I do not think that a belief system requires a "religion".
I do think every religion has truth to it, but because mans nature is to make it "personal", that all "religions" have added points, doctrines,traditions, and belief structures that make them personalized.
That is why, now, there are churches breaking off from their "parent" affiliations.
Be it gay propositions, idolatry recognitions, or Papacy influences.
Try not to judge another based on your own understanding.
Just understand your judgement to your needs.

My husband was brought up Methodist. I was brought up Baptist, not the southern Baptist. The church I was brought up in is more laid back. Neither of us have been to church since we were little. He is in the military and was stationed out in Colorado for a year. We tried going to a Methodist church, because he refused a Baptist one. I honestly didn't care which one we went to, as long as we went and our girls, 5 and 2, had a good program to go into. We tried a Methodist church, but I didn't understand their beliefs and my husband was no help. Once I moved home, my husband is deployed again overseas, I started having anxiety attacks and my youngest daughter was having these raging crying fits, missing her dad. I talked to my mom about it and started looking for a church. We found a Baptish church. Come to find out we know a few people that go there and I have been happy ever since. Problem is, how do I get my husband to go when he gets home? The girls love it there.

I am spending Christmas with my girlfriend's extended family. She has informed me that it is a tradition in their house to have a naked custard fight at the end of dinner. I'm expected to join in. There is a big difference between positively believing that a thing does not exist, and simply lacking belief in it's existence. In many cases, atheists will say "That God does not exist", not because they choose to do so, but because, from the description of the God, it cannot exist due to contradictory attributes. In the same way that a square circle cannot (and therefore does not) exist, a God defined as (for example) all-knowing, yet cannot see into the future, cannot and does not exist because the definition is self-contradictory. If you describe your God with self-contradicting attributes which make it logically impossible, then I may safely say that such a thing does not exist as described. This is not faith - this is reason.
