1. Local groups:

Local meet ups:

You can go to your local metaphysical shop and ask about covens nearby:

I highly recommend the book "Covencraft" by Amber K to learn about covens and what to look for in them. This is a very good book that is full of great info.

2. These are my favorite Yahoo groups about traditional Wicca:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wiccan_collegium/
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/amberandjet/
A good forum with people from many different neo-pagan paths:
http://www.ecauldron.net/mb/index
You can also go to Yahoo groups and type in the words Wicca and where you live (example: Wicca Ohio). There may be quite a few Yahoo groups in your area.

You can probably do a google search to find the forems. As for finding a coven, thats a little more trickey. Since Wicca still isn't mainstream and many of the other religions look down upon them, wiccans tend to keep their beliefs more concieled. You may find several teenagers wearing pentacles and the such, but their rarely serious. Their just slight goth. Most true wiccans tend to blend in with only slight indicators which other wiccans might identify.
I'd recomend you find a metaphysical store. Most of them are small and secluded and run by one or two people. The owners usually have a good idea as to whats going on in the area and are happy to discuss it with you. They can probably give you a few contacts.
Watch out for the huge pentacle wearing type. Their what the rest of us call " Dry Ice Pagans" . Their practices are mostly for show. I'm sorry but when you do a Harry Potter based ritual nobody can take you seriously. Hello... its F I C T I O N! You won't gain much from them except the ability to put on a show.
You'll be looking for a small group of serious people with common interests as you that aren't too showey about their beliefs.
I don't know where you live but if you'd like to talk more directly you can email me and I'll try to help.

May the god and goddess bless and bring balance to your life.

I'm solitary - sorry. And my area is very Christian-heavy, so I wouldn't even know how to go about finding a structured coven. The first step, though, is picking a tradition to follow.

I used to have a couple of forums bookmarked, but unfortunately don't anymore. Try witchvox.com and see if they have any external links.

You can email me if you'd like. I don't know how well I can advise you, but I'll try.

Happy Solstice!

Try Witchvox for covens and forums.

I'm a solitary. The whole coven thing hasn't been something I wanted to pursue, but that's just me. There are lots of Pagan Meet ups held around the U.S. You might want to try there too.

My friend is a Witch and I asked her for you, she says that you can go a Wicca sight and try to find one in your area, she is very much into practicing her pagan beliefs. She says that she never got into a coven because it is too structured and she just wants to be able to practice her faith on her own. She wishes you happy Yule!!!!!!!!!! Good luck finding your Coven.

I am a solitary. have you considered that path instead of a coven? Scott Cunningham has an excellent book for the solitary. Raymond Buckland has one as well, "Scottish Witchcraft, The History & Magick of the Picts". It is pretty good too. I prefer the spontenaity afforded by being a solitary. Good luck in your quest, I hope you find your path.

You don't find a coven. They find you. And if they think you're a wannabe, then you'll never ever see the real deal.

This looks more like an advertisement than a question.
