this is the sort of quote i tend to hear quite a lot on the news, but sometimes it upsets me. i can understand it can be worse for children than adults to die (as they have their whole lives ahead of them), but why is it better that men die instead of women? doesnt this just devalue mens' lives? i think the root of this is that men are physically stronger than women, but in the majority of situations where this sort of statement is applied (for example in a terrorist attack or war), it doesnt really matter whether youre physically strong or not - if you get shot you still die. i just want to know peoples opinions of this - any men that agree with me? any women who think this sort of statement is ok/ good? all answers welcome. thanks

PS please dont take this as an attack on women, its not!

I have and all have been biblical. Unless your experiences line up to scripture it is not from God. I had a salvation dream last year when I became a new Christians and thought I was going to Hell as Jesus said not everybody who calls me Lord will enter. A few weeks later unexpectantly Jesus appeared to me in a dream regarding my salvation, and dreams are not hallucinations. Natural dreams just bounce around and have not meaning and have not beginning or an end. A dream from God is very different. For a starters they have a begining and an end, very highly structured, and is just as real if not more real than this natural life, and is very biblical and I have had them backed up at prayer ministry by the holy spirit. I have had many encounters with the Lord, which I will not mention on here, as I will keep them to myself. Anyway have you had a supernatural dream or vision form the Lord?

developed such large gulfs between them that they came to be classified as separate religions altogether. I'm asking as a matter of historical curiosity.

And don't worry, if you feel you must post a sarcastic or controversial response, I'm not one of those whiny little crybabies that reports people, so feel free to express your creativity.

Any one who has funny story like this :
My friend (not me ok?) and her husband got in the bus for their trip for the day. As they got in, the driver asked, SINGLE? then my friend replied and said, NO, we're married. (if you didn't understand what the driver means, then you live in a country where it is different) The driver was asking my friend if she's paying only for a one-way ticket. And she thinks the driver was asking if she's single ( I think it's funny, we were laughing when she told us this)

Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus. If you don't believe in the bible, then why do you celebrate this holiday?

could someone explain the origin of the bible without actually referring to the not too likely tales in it. the actual historical origin of its parts, anything its based on, copies found by historians, etc.

leave out anything about how god commanded his faithful to write it or sent an angel or whatever.

DO NOT QUOTE FROM THE BIBLE OR TELL WHAT UR PASTOR TOLD U. UNLESS U WANNA PROVE U CAN'T READ.

I don't have a religion but I am practicing to become muslim, Except now its christmas, my family celebrate it, and i feel left out, i want to get halal chicken but friend said to me i cant have both world and having halal chicken when celebrating chicken just doesnt seem right. i never saw christmas even when younger as birth of jesus but as celebration of gifts, having family together for once as no one working and films on tv but never as going to church or anything religious as i dont believe in christianity at all. So is it right or wrong to celebrate it with my family just as i celebrate eid with my friends who are muslims but thats because i believe in islam. I dont know whether my friend is right or wrong. Any advice please...........
