Ignorance begats hatred. I think people need to learn more about different religions and phylosophies before attacking it.

Because everybody thinks they are right. There is a concept called "intrinsic value obligates" which basically means that if you know someone is doing something that will harm them and you don't warn them you are guilty of a sin of omission.. a bit like not warning someone there is a bridge out. Most people are well meaning in their attempts but are misguided about what is actually fruitful. To rectify it is very simple really - if someone says stop - you stop - don't keep going or you are invading their private space. Wish sales people would adhere to that too.

Quite simply, religions and their respective 'gods' are reflections of the cultures that made them. The main purpose of the particular religion is to exclude 'those who don't see it our way'. Thus, a built-in conflict between cultures. The more extreme the belief-set, the more violent the conflict.

Non-religious folks harbor none of these thoughts of exclusion.

Solution: Dump religious bigotry and the gods that foster it!

I as Christian respect various persons who have various beliefs. Because of my relationship with God I sometimes feel the need to share Bible truths with certain individuals. When you care that someone may go to hell, you are prompted to voice a correction of belief if necessary. (not a personal opinion belief-a scriptual one)

because everyone has it in their head that theres is the one that is true and everyones elses is false and people are stupid for believeing in it. to rectify this we will all have to get out of that mind frame and be tolorant. but sadly that will never happen at least not in the near future seeing how three of the four major religions in the world say that their god is the one and only true god and one of those three says that they must kill whom ever is not a follower of that religion. its sad but thats life and how it goes.

nowdays, people don't even respect their own religion. i think it's because they are too busy understanding other beliefs or because they are too narrow-minded and they cannot open their hearts in front of other people's beliefs and accept them just the way they are, with their gods and everything.

These "various" individuals could stop trying to insist that their way is the only way.

Most religions teach theirs is the right religion and everyone elses religion is wrong; and they feel obligated to prosetlyze their religion to others.

most people are very closed minded. sad, but true. they can't accept that there might be another way besides theirs.

the only way we can fix this is to teach our children to be more accepting.

Because people don't get along..period..it will never change. Even if people stopped fighting about God it would be something else we would fight over.
