Here's the new theory: Jesus was a time traveller who was born a hermaphrodite, but prodominately woman. He had sex with a stranger one night and gave birth to a baby girl. After Jesus had his child, the doctors had to give him a sex change to save his life, making him a man. As he aged, he met a man who told him about time travel. Jesus went back in time and fell in love with a woman, whom he impregnated. They had a baby girl, who, in her teens, was visited by a stranger and had sex with him. Basically, Jesus is his own mother, father and self! Any takers?

Hear me out.

Sysiphus was punished by having to push a rock up a hill, only to have it roll back down again. I think he's still doing this to this day.

Let's say that Santa was actually force to live in this artic cavern.
He's alone, watching little people make toys, and listening to them speak without comprehension. None of the elves would even look at them as they work.

Every year, the elves miraculously stop time for just a moment so they can force Santa (screaming and shooting) to take these invisible toys to every house in the world and place them beside every child's bed.
The stoppage of time is just a tick of a clock to us, but Santa calls this the "endless night"; remember, every household in the WORLD!

You think Sysiphus had it bad?

Santa's punishment is worse....

I am agnostic, although I am pretty much an atheist in all but the fact nobody can KNOW either way.

I do not beleive in a deity that has concious control over anything. But I do sometimes feel that nature itself and all the scientific mechanics of life is itself what christians call "god"

If we harm 1 part of nature, nature heals itself and adjusts accordingly to correct that damage.

it is in everything (just like "god") and is the force behind many a strange event.

do you not think this is a common ground? and that what agnostics and atheits say is science and logic, is just a physical proof of a christian "god". But that "god" is a human projection of these physical effects in which humans have elevated to a higher being?

Love nature and naure will respond positively. Hate nature and the opposite will occur.

Just a theory

I had given someone a 4oz (travel size) body splash, lotion & shower gel, along with a small clear makeup bag, all from B & B Works. It came out to be around $13-$15 total. She got me a $20 gift card. I feel bad because I know she spent a little more. Does my gift look cheap? Do you think it matters, especially when you work with a lot of people & don't really know how much to spend, or is it really just the thought that counts? Thanks

Living in a predominantly Muslim society, I don't consider Christmas (by this I mean Santa) to be commercialized over the roof, however in other parts of the world, it may seem to be over-exploited. Many people say that Christmas now is an over-the-top holiday frenzie, which is arguably true.

Many people also say that Christmas is about giving and not receiving (just like Santa). This is sweet, really, and I really don't want to offend anyone, but I think this kind of misses the spot. Though giving is a virtue, the meaning is the birth of Christ.

I do acknowledge that Christmas and Easter we know today may have been somewhat influenced/derived from pagan traditions. But I wouldn't say that Christmas and Easter are pagan celebrations, since commemorations of the birth and resurrection of Christ (the ACTUAL Christmas and Easter) must've gone on (however subtle) ever since His resurrection. I do think that the cultures had assimilated with the celebration of winter and fertility.

would the best way to find out be to go to a mosque?

and if you lived in a town with a mosque, how comfortable would you feel in approaching that place with a view to seeing what muslims get up to and what things their preachers are preaching?

how welcome do you think you would be made... if you merely wanted to satisfy your curiosity, and had no desire to become involved in any way?

found out he had been using viagra. losing "it" in the middle of the groove and now just avoiding sex altogether. He initiated last week and the same thing happened after a long gap in time. I decided to join him on the sofa this morning while he was looking at the news caught him pretending to be sleeping including fake snoring. The only way I got him to participate at all was with no pressure of nothing more than touching and he was all for it and all into it. But I because he's failed so many times before he didn't even try. HELP me understand guys....

In all the years I have practiced Wicca, I have noticed many people are afraid of it. Is this simply because they are ignorant of what it's really about? And the same goes for other non-christian religions. Is the fear nothing more than ignorance?

I asked this a bit ago but I don't think I worded it right.

My 8 yr old wants to know why God would take us up to heaven when he knows it hurts the people who loved them? She doesn't understand the whole concept of earth. If God wants us with him why did he bother making an earth in the first place? Why not just make a world like heaven in the first place.

I hope that clarified it a bit.

She did just lose her grandpa less than a month ago. She is a sensitive and emotional girl who has daily tears and hundreds of questions, that I have been able to handle up to this point.( and she keeps harping on this one). She has seen the school therapist and I am thinking of having her talk to a priest that she knows.

thanks again
