When I lived in apartment, rather than a house with a hearth/ fireplace/ mantle, I hung the stockings on the wall. We waited until early Xmas morning or late Xmas Eve to fill them and then we just sat them around the tree (because they were too heavy on the wall). : )

anyway still a bit of time left till christmas, and i dont hang my stockings on the wall i hang them on the fireplace.

Nope. Got Stocking Hangers from Target and put them hanging off my entertainment center. I'm pretty impressed, the hangers are actually taking the weight no problem ... oh and they are cute! I got three reindeer: a poppa with antler, and middle sized momma and a baby fawn for my dog.

No. I do christmas at my mom and dad's house. They have a neat little stocking stand that will hold up to 6 stockings. We put goodies in each one. Fun!

I have them hung on the mantle this year. When I lived in an appartment with no fireplace we hung them on the coat rack by the door so santa could fill them when he came in that way. A nail in regular plaster wouldn't hold them.

they are hanging from a shelf so the baby cant reach them, she has already destroyed the tree lol
