I can't remember when I stopped believing in Santa. I do have a vague guess of when I stopped lying to myself (somewhere around the later years of elementary school). I live in a predominantly Muslim society, so it wasn't that big of a deal.

The kids are still 8, 5, and 9 months so, they still believe. I think I was probably 7 when Santa came to my house. My uncle dressed up as Santa and our guard dog (live on a farm) attacked him. The costume stayed on and protected him from being mauled (also dad ran right out, knowing what was happening) but I already heard his voice -- it wasn't the "Santa voice" but my uncle's.

I pretended to still believe for about a year because I didn't want my uncle to feel bad.

i was the kind of kid that couldn't stop asking questions.

e.g. if santa's fat how does he get down the chimney, why aren't his clothes soot-ridden and ruffled?

how big does his chriot/container/sleigh thing have to be to carry all his presents?

where's the stuff that him and his elves make? if they just pack the stuff then how does he get the money to pay currys and argos and all the other shops?

how does he know which houses has kids in them?

how many kids does he not give presents to and what does it take for santa to be mad at you?

how big does rudolph and the rest of the raindeers have to be to carry him and his chariot/sleigh thing?

etcetera etcetera. so when you have a kid like me with parents & like mine, the easiest thing is to just say Santa doesn't exist and answer the ten or so questions it takes to prove THAT instead of the 50 or so it takes to disprove his existence!

merry christmas!

What are you talking about? We only stop seeing Santa Clause when we get older and stop believing in Santa Clause. To see Santa again we must become childlike and "Believe" in him. Yes, there is a Santa Clause,

I don't have kids yet.......I am a kid! Well I found out when I was six.......right after my parents told me about him! I saw them wrapping the gifts from "Santa". I probably wouldn't have beleived anyways because, what does it have to do with Christmas? Christmas is about the birth of Jesus. I was upset that they lied to me. But I got over it. After all , it doesn't matter, Jesus is the reason for the season!
Merry Christmas!

I was a snooper as a kid so I knew pretty early but played it for my parents sake until like 6th grade when I finally told them that I knew their wasn't a Santa.
