Nobody in my circle of friends or family has remembered that today is my 60th birthday, am I being unreasonable in being pissed off in the fact that I seem to be forgotten among the rest of the festivities at this time of year. If my birthday was mid-summer or something people would presumably remember, but this time of year it gets forgotten amid the Christmas frenzy as usual.

What if creatures reincarnated from stone age to modern age, does it mean all humans have successively added on myriads of good karma through millions of existences - from eating raw meat to eating Chicken Biriyani. living in caves to living in the Taj Mahal.

Wouldnt it be more simpler to make all humans the superior creation - and animals food and utilities for humans.

How can you even envision animals doing good deeds. The tiger must kill. Why did your creator not create all creatures as vegetarians and give all existences a level ground to compete for karma. He must have so much time to waste keeping track of the karma of unmeasurable living beings including millions of microbes you kill in every drink of water.

I've noticed when a girl is deemed pretty she automatically assumes all the guys like her. they sit around and talk about how everyone wants to date them. And if you want them to shut up for once, then you become the "jealous" friend. Anyways, here is my experience there is this girl who is very pretty. I always tell that she is pretty. Then i get annoyed of her always talking about how so and so likes her, how she is cheating on her boyfriend and once i say i'm annoyed by her my mom says I'm jealous of her because she is pretty. My mom bugs me. She loves me having attractive friends. If they are mean, she will say how could such a pretty girl be mean? If i don't compliment everything then I'm jealous. so now i render fake compliments just to NOT SEEM JEALOUS. any advice, tips, comments.

I'm tired of thinking so my question(s) will be silly.

What is the best/most interesting feature, physical/personality commonly found in black women. And WHY? And should i use caucasian instead of white next time? Some people seem not to like it very much. I'll please the majority but not everyone, though.

Just curious, no hate answers because it is not a hate question.

The question: what would be the German article for "the Hoff"

Der?
Die?
Das?

I was thinking "der Hoff" but I'm just not sure! Also, if you can link to your answer that would be great.

In the language of the Bible, in Psalms 82 from which Jesus quotes above, the word "gods" is used by God to describe the prophets ("to whom the word of God came"). Jesus argues with them that if God can call the prophets gods, then his saying that he is the "son of God," is no claim to divinity, just as the other prophets were not God just because they were referred to as gods by God himself.
The point that Jesus makes to the Jews is further proven by the use of the term "son of God," in both the Old and the New Testament. Metaphorically speaking, God is the cherisher and sustainer and hence the "Father" of everybody. This doesn't mean that the person so described as a "son of God" is physically begotten by God or of the same nature as God. Otherwise the term "son of God" would not make any sense. God by definition
signifies one who received his existence from nobody, whereas son signifies someone who received his existence from somebody else. God and son are mutually exclusive terms, they cannot go together. The use of the term by Jesus and in other places in the Bible is metaphoric and not literal.

The many Sons of God in the Bible:
1. Luke 3:38 "...Adam which was the Son of God."
2. Genesis 6:2 &4 "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men...and when the sons of God came in unto
the daughters of men..."
3. Exodus 4:22 "Israel is my son even my first born."
4. Romans 8:14 "For as many as are led by the spirit of God are called sons of God,"
5. Matthew 5:9 "Blessed are the peace-makers for they shall be called sons of God."

By the above quotations from the Bible it should be clear that the term "son of God," signifies only a righteous person. It does not mean that the person so titled is divine, or we would have hundreds of Gods according to the Bible. Jesus is described as the "son of man," 83 times in the New Testament whereas he's described only 13 times as the son of God. What we also see is that Jesus used the terms, "Your Father," "Thy Father," describing God's relationship with people 13 times before the first time he ever said, "My Father," about God. All these show that he was in no way implying that God physically begot him.

It is claimed that in John 3:16 (the favorite verse of the evangelists) that Jesus is referred to as the only son of God. A careful reading of the verse compared to Hebrews 11:17 shows that Isaac is described as the only son of Abraham, whereas literally speaking Isaac was never the only son of Abraham as Ishmael was born before him. The use of the word is metaphoric, Jesus was special among the sons of God.

Peter in the Book of Acts testifies about Jesus: "O you men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a MAN approved of God among you...(Acts 2:22)." Jesus thus even to his disciples, as to early Christians, not poisoned by Pauline doctrine, was a man, not a God.

Claim 2> Another claim that is often times made is concerning Isaiah 7:14. In the Book of Isaiah in the Old Testament of the Bible it states: "Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign, behold a
will conceive and bear a child and shall call his name Immanu-el."

It is claimed that the above was a prophecy about the birth of Jesus to the virgin Mary. It is further claimed that since the word Immanuel means "God with us," the person being talked about, i.e Jesus was God

Okay serious answers only. Many Christians consider homosexuality to be a sin because of verses in Leviticus."You shall not lie with a male as with a woman.
It is an abomination." (Leviticus 18:22) obviously that's very clear on where the Bible stands. I am not disputing that, however there are many other verses in Leviticus that many Christians do not follow. Here are some of those:
"For everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother. His blood shall be upon him." (Leviticus 20:9)
Can you imagine what would happen if people advocated a literal interpretation of this scripture.
Leviticus 19:27 tells men not to cut hair at the sides of their heads or to clip the edges of their beard. There are many more.
What I want to know is why do Christians advocate a literal interpretation when the Bible deals with homosexuality but not other things.

I don't really have a question. I just wanted to share my personal opinion on Christianity.A couple years ago, I decided that I am an agnostic. And here is why.I learned that people go to church out of fear of hell, not out of love for a God.Why would you love a God that makes you feel guilty for every thing you've done? And besides, nobody is ever REALLY sorry for ALL their sins....but they still ask for forgiveness anyway. Why?Because out of fear of hell. For a small number of people (mostly teens), church is a time to socialize with your friends....kinda like school. And most of time it is seen as sort of the "in" thing to be a christian.
I believe Christianity is hypocrisy, it is guilt, it is contradictory....therefore I cannot trust it.I believe all religions should be practiced at home.I do not like nor trust organized religion. All you get is false translations. It should be made illegal for people to push religion onto others.
