Maybe but that is never the case. People want to be right and prove it to everyone and cannot resist trying to put their views off on others who aren't even seeking their advice.

No way. People need to debate. When people debate they are unsure of their convictions many of times. I have very strong convictions on what I believe and have experienced and never felt the need to debate,prove or argue a subject.
I hate to say but I agree with your point. See both halfs that seem to have flawed understanding or logic and go on about it. I always feel strong about don't preach unless you are absolute in your heart.

Yes, but unfortunately it usually works the other way around. I call it Doug's Law - the amount a person knows is inversely proportional to the amount the person talks.

Not necessarily. Have your mind closed to things that are unproductive or pollutive could be a good thing. People need to speak out against evils in this world and single mindedness is a plus in this department. Evil triumphs when good people do nothing.
