Neither. I'm fine with my relatives, in very small doses. Come Christmas, though, it's like a Happy Families overdose. By New Year's I never want to see any of them again.

Yes. That is our tradition in the Philippines. Every christmas, we go from house-to-house visiting relatives. In every house, they have an enourmous amount of prepared food of different kinds. Older people like Aunts/Uncles and Grandm/Granddad, if they don't have a gift for you, they'd take out their wallet and give you a "NEW" (wrinkle-less) money. It's always been the tradition. Nobody gives old money during christmas. It's really fun.

I used to, not anymore though. I have my own things going on. I don't think my family could force me but, I wouldn't have much better to do if I wasn't going to a relatives house but business. I find although it may be the most practical thing of the time, I just may make my own plans. Time only knows.

eh. i think the idea of christmas is stupid. family and charity should be important all year round, not just during a certain season. it's a bad lesson to teach people.

but anyway, i never really felt that attached to any of my family. besides my mother and brother, who i live with, i could do without the rest of them.

Generally, though my aunt is getting goofier than ever. Sure we all forget things when we age, but she always insists she's right. I'm kinda hoping that she's got a better invitation or doesn't want to come or something--she stays overnight with us.
