In the language of the Bible, in Psalms 82 from which Jesus quotes above, the word "gods" is used by God to describe the prophets ("to whom the word of God came"). Jesus argues with them that if God can call the prophets gods, then his saying that he is the "son of God," is no claim to divinity, just as the other prophets were not God just because they were referred to as gods by God himself.
The point that Jesus makes to the Jews is further proven by the use of the term "son of God," in both the Old and the New Testament. Metaphorically speaking, God is the cherisher and sustainer and hence the "Father" of everybody. This doesn't mean that the person so described as a "son of God" is physically begotten by God or of the same nature as God. Otherwise the term "son of God" would not make any sense. God by definition
signifies one who received his existence from nobody, whereas son signifies someone who received his existence from somebody else. God and son are mutually exclusive terms, they cannot go together. The use of the term by Jesus and in other places in the Bible is metaphoric and not literal.
The many Sons of God in the Bible:
1. Luke 3:38 "...Adam which was the Son of God."
2. Genesis 6:2 &4 "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men...and when the sons of God came in unto
the daughters of men..."
3. Exodus 4:22 "Israel is my son even my first born."
4. Romans 8:14 "For as many as are led by the spirit of God are called sons of God,"
5. Matthew 5:9 "Blessed are the peace-makers for they shall be called sons of God."
By the above quotations from the Bible it should be clear that the term "son of God," signifies only a righteous person. It does not mean that the person so titled is divine, or we would have hundreds of Gods according to the Bible. Jesus is described as the "son of man," 83 times in the New Testament whereas he's described only 13 times as the son of God. What we also see is that Jesus used the terms, "Your Father," "Thy Father," describing God's relationship with people 13 times before the first time he ever said, "My Father," about God. All these show that he was in no way implying that God physically begot him.
It is claimed that in John 3:16 (the favorite verse of the evangelists) that Jesus is referred to as the only son of God. A careful reading of the verse compared to Hebrews 11:17 shows that Isaac is described as the only son of Abraham, whereas literally speaking Isaac was never the only son of Abraham as Ishmael was born before him. The use of the word is metaphoric, Jesus was special among the sons of God.
Peter in the Book of Acts testifies about Jesus: "O you men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a MAN approved of God among you...(Acts 2:22)." Jesus thus even to his disciples, as to early Christians, not poisoned by Pauline doctrine, was a man, not a God.
Claim 2> Another claim that is often times made is concerning Isaiah 7:14. In the Book of Isaiah in the Old Testament of the Bible it states: "Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign, behold a
will conceive and bear a child and shall call his name Immanu-el."
It is claimed that the above was a prophecy about the birth of Jesus to the virgin Mary. It is further claimed that since the word Immanuel means "God with us," the person being talked about, i.e Jesus was God

First of all, the rulers and judges of Israel were called gods and "sons of the Most High" because they represented God in executing judgement. John 10:34-36 records Jesus using this passage to defend his claims to be God. His argument was as follows: If God would call mere men "gods" why was it blasphemous for him, the true Son of God, to declare himself equal with God.
Secondly- When Mary conceived and gave birth to Jesus in Bethlehem, and he became a human being, he became a son of man, so that he would be able to feel the same things that we go through every day. And that way we would have and advocate or mediator (go between) with God the Father. Jesus was sinless and therefore, only he can bring us back to the Father through the blood that he willingly shed on the Cross of Calvary.

It is agreed that Jesus Himself referred to Himself as the son of man, because He had come in the flesh.
However, since in John 1 He is the word, which was with God, and was God before the foundation of the earth.
Without the word nothing would have been made.
That would make Jesus the Son of God before He became the son of man.
I can't help but wonder: Was that a question, or a lesson?

You seem to be well versed on the bible and yet have missed some pivotal truth claims of Jesus that are written in the bible.
Jesus was the Son of God and He was the Son of Man. As you have shown God has many adopted sons, however, He only has one begotten son, Jesus. What this means is that Jesus being of God and from God, came to earth was born, grew up and lived as a man, being fully man, sufferring as we suffer, being tempted as we are tempted and yet lived without sin. We do not have a high priest that who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in EVERY respect has been tempted as we are, yet was without sin. (Hebrews 4:15)
In John 18:36,37 Jesus claims that He is a king yet not a king of this world and that the reason He came to earth was to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to Him. He also claims that the only way to God, His Father in heaven, is through Him. That He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He also says that if you know me (Jesus) then you know my Father also for I and the Father are one.
These are some serious truth claims that Jesus makes. Either they are all true or none of them are true.

Jesus is either made up, or was a normal person with human parents. Only stories with no REAL proof will tell you otherwise. People should learn about proof and logic and what it means to know truth and how falsehoods endure in the mind before they claim that they really know so many things to be true beyond a doubt. Most are far too emotionally attached to their beliefs to really open themselves and their beliefs all the way up and test them.

The phrase son of man is a primarily Semitic idiom that originated in Ancient Mesopotamia, used to denote humanity or self. The phrase is also used in Christianity in reference to Jesus.

Reading the Bible CAREFULLY... Matthew 27:43 -- He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, 'I am the Son of God.' " Luke 22:70 -- Then they all said, "Are You then the Son of God?" So He [Jesus] said to them, "You rightly say that I am." John 10:36 -- do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'? Luke24:39 is one of the few times in the Bible where "spirit" should have been translated "ghost." Jesus was saying that he wasn't a ghost, phantom, apparition, a figment of their imaginations. He was real, solid and alive. Note, he did NOT say he was flesh and BLOOD. Yet, he taught that those born of the spirit ARE spirit: John 3:6 -- That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Jesus was the first born of God; the first born from the dead; he WAS spirit -- able to take on flesh and bone to manifest himself to his disciples. If you READ the Bible CAREFULLY, you will notice that angels, who are spirits, can manifest themselves in the flesh: Hebrews 1:7 -- And of the angels He says: "Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire." Genesis 19:1 -- Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground. Hebrews 13:2 -- Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. If angels can put on flesh and bone, then certainly this would be no daunting feat for God, or the son of God! And, as it logically follows, just being a spirit or having a spirit is NOT the same thing as being God! So, what you say, having both spirit and flesh, it does NOT logically follow that you are God. 1 Corinthians 15:42-45,47 -- So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. ... The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. Jesus, who was God, put off his godly attributes, and BECAME human, flesh and blood (Philippians 2:5-7, John 1:1-,14). He DIED and was buried and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). He sits on the throne of God, at the right hand of God (Hebrews 12:2). He is God again, with all his restored glory and authority (John 17:1-5, Matthew 28:16). John 1:18 -- No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. READING this Bible verse CAREFULLY, shows that it is referring to God the FATHER, whom no one has seen. Yet the Bible CLEARLY shows that Moses SAW GOD FACE TO FACE: Exodus 33:11 -- So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Exodus 24:9-11 -- Then Moses went up, also Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and they saw the God of Israel. ... So they saw God, and they ate and drank. The LOGICAL answer is that the God who manifest himself to Moses and the elders of Israel was not God the Father, but Jesus, who was also God. However, this is NOT a proof of the false and unbiblical doctrine of the Trinity. And we are not the sons of God simply because we have a spirit. But we must ALSO have GOD'S spirit in us to BECOME sons of God: John 1:12 -- But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. Romans 8:9 -- But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. .

I believe that the man Jesus did live. Obviously there has been no human born of a virgin. At least not in the sense that was implicated in the bible. Many prior deitys were supposedly born of a virgin. The story was not even original.
