I've noticed when a girl is deemed pretty she automatically assumes all the guys like her. they sit around and talk about how everyone wants to date them. And if you want them to shut up for once, then you become the "jealous" friend. Anyways, here is my experience there is this girl who is very pretty. I always tell that she is pretty. Then i get annoyed of her always talking about how so and so likes her, how she is cheating on her boyfriend and once i say i'm annoyed by her my mom says I'm jealous of her because she is pretty. My mom bugs me. She loves me having attractive friends. If they are mean, she will say how could such a pretty girl be mean? If i don't compliment everything then I'm jealous. so now i render fake compliments just to NOT SEEM JEALOUS. any advice, tips, comments.

Ofcourse most pretty girls are conceited. People in America seem to think that only most men have ego's, when women are just as arrogant with big ego's as men, only it's with there beauty. Most people (like your mother) are so gullible about women that they figure the more beautiful, the more perfect and nice she is, which is far from the truth about most pretty girls.
My advice to you is, stop giving your friends compiments when you know it only feeds their ego's. And when they talk about how all the boys in the world like them, let them talk and watch how careless they are when dating. Don't show that your bothered.

Its bad either way, and people don't usually like hanging out with anyone who is conceited. However, ugly girls tend to have less friends because they have even less to like than the pretty girls, and the pretty conceited girls tend to be considered 'popular'.

No not all pretty girls are concieted, If you can find one that isn't latch on to her.
However this chick sounds like TROUBLE, SHe just admits to cheating on her boyfriend, HSe gets with you she'll proabably cheat on you.
YEah, Parents do not always know what is up, THey"ll judge a book by it's cover, I've had this a couple of times with my parents and my friends

They are conceited, yes.
My favorite "conceited girl" moment was when I was sitting in the car waiting for a friend to emerge from a restaurant with our food. I was watching the door intently, so I could drive up, and as a """cute""" girl and her friend came out and got in their car next to mine, I heard them talking about me "staring" at them. Yeah right. If I look north, south, east, or west, I'm lookin' at you, and only you, Babe.
Some people can't get over themselves.

hey i am in the same situation except that my friend is the one who is conceited! i just ignore the fact that she is like that CuZ once she gets old and fat and has no education cuz she was to worried about the boz liking her. so just know ur right and that u are going to be the cool one someday cuz you will be the "cool" one.you will get ahead. by the way i have a friend named storm.

well it depends on the "pretty girl" there are a lot of girls who guys call pretty and then they become wayy to full of themselves.
i am pretty. guys tell me that, but i'm not trying to sound concieted. i dont go around asking people that like most girls do.

I'd say..get new friends. I dealt with that for a few years..then I switched my friends up && Life was more enjoyable 8)

Not ALL of them. I have friends etc who are very admired by the opposite sex, but they don't get arrogant about it.
It really depends on how a person was raised....

I know alot of pretty girls that aren't conceited. They do talk about people that like them but these guys do like them....it's not them thinking everyone likes them. Sounds to me like you are jealous. And if you don't mean a compliment you are saying then don't say it.
