Nobody in my circle of friends or family has remembered that today is my 60th birthday, am I being unreasonable in being pissed off in the fact that I seem to be forgotten among the rest of the festivities at this time of year. If my birthday was mid-summer or something people would presumably remember, but this time of year it gets forgotten amid the Christmas frenzy as usual.

No my birthday is on Friday and I'm the big 5-0 this year, I am sorry that all your family and friends forgot about you on your birthday, there is no excuse for it, it happens to me on a more than regular basis or they make me feel really guilty by saying things like, 'oh god its your birthday, could do without the extra expense', wish we were brave enough to say the same to them on their birthdays or forget theirs too, well I am sending you a huge hug and kiss for your birthday because you deserve it, happy birthday and don't let other peoples thoughtlessness get your down, go treat yourself and beggar the lot of them.

Dont worry mate. It's my Birthday today as well (1940).
I am in Trinidad on a Dive Ship. Had a very exciting day. Repaired several lights on deck, Fault finding on a Main Engine Clutch.The cook put on a special meal...Curried Goat!!.
My pressie...Oh yes.finally got my Work Permit after 7 months, we sail for Mexico to morrow!!!!!!! It will look nice in a frame though. Happy Birthday to yer mate

I know exactly how you feel. mines the 20th Dec. 1962 [Today in Uk] I'm 44 and when I was a child I always felt I missed out on the excitement of a birthday because Xmas was so close.

I was born on 19th of December 1946. I would receive one gift compared to my brother who received several gifts in June. If you want to be remember today, just join Face Book.This year I had around 70 well wishers from family and friends.

Its my birthday today 19/12/1980
And since i turned 18 i only seem to get one gift. One that will do for my birthday and christmas.
The worst was an Aunt who for my 13th Birthday got me a set of lights for my bike....The front one for my birthday and the back one for my christmas.
Grrrrrr. why did my mother have to uncross her legs in march, could she not have waited a few months. :-)
