.... your friend, your coworker, your spouse or your boss found out who you really are on Yahoo Questions, and took a look at all the questions you've asked and the answers you've given. Would they be shocked or surprised? Would you be facing divorce proceedings? Is there a chance you could be fired?
Just curious!

ever since i can remember i'v always been attracted to men. i'm 85 years old now and have been a practicing gay for 70 years. i live in constant pain because of how my peopl view homosexuals, i had to marry a woman i dont love and had to lie to her and act straight for all my life. i have to live in shame because of how my fellow christians act towards homosexuals. isn't time we stop this madness and allow people to do whatever they want?

I bought a CD of Provencal Xmas songs and really loved the sound of the language. It pleased me more than French. It sounded truly like a pan-Latin mediterranean idiom.

In France today - would one hear it spoken in Nice,Marseilles, or anywhere on the southern coast??? Where is ideal place to hear it spoken??? do speakers of Provencal ever speak it with each other in cities like Paris, etc. to keep their converse private???

Exactly what happened to Provencal language in South of France?? Note that in Spain, the Galician and Catalan tongues are alive and entrenched. So why did provencal fade away???
I feel this language has a beautiful sound to it , it's really Latin type sound, whereas standard French is a Gothic-nasal sound.

I really appreciate any relevant information about Provencal usage in France today - details are welcome.

merci bien.

Currently they discriminate against non-Christians and against gays. Is that their right? Is it their right to discriminate against, oh, whites, for instance?

I love riding my motorcycle with my wife on back. I am slim build but the wife is heavy. She exceeds the weight limit alone. Should I get a bigger motorcycle I don't need or a skinnier wife?

I see people all the time on the board posting "Ban Religion", but we all know that would never be possible. I understnad that over the years religion has spread hateful, and intolerant messages, and going back all the way to the Crusades, has cause death. ALL religions have in one form or another.

My question is, how would you make it work, so as to "ban" religion, and yet allow people their individual rights to belief of A God, multiple Gods, or Goddesses, or ANY belief, without losing it?

Without all the commercialism and secularism, Christmas would rank behind Halloween and Easter on holidays. I've heard "Jesus is the reason for the season" a million times, but I disagree. Even the date is stolen from the pagans.

I just heard about a toddler in Houston who was ran over by a family member today, just hours before his baptism.

Since we wasn't baptised yet, does this mean he didn't repent, thus he will go to hell?

Is there a bigger meaning you could think of behind this?

"Christians claim that ths particular universe can be explained as God's choice, taken from an infinite range of alternatives, for reasons that are unknown to us. But even an omnipotent God cannot break the rules of logic. God cannot make 2=3, or make a square a circle. The hasty assumption that God can create any universe must be qualified by the restriction that it be logically consistent. Now if there exists only one logically consistent universe then God would effectively have had no choice at all. If there really is only one possible sort of creation, why do we need a creator at all? What function could he have save for "pushing the button" to set the thing going? But such a function does not require a mind--it would merely be a triggering mechanism and even that is not needed in the world of quantum physics. So does this philosophy of a uniquephysical solution to the fundamental logical-mathemtical equation of the universe deny the existence of God? Indeed not.

My favorite is.....

First Christmas
Stan Rogers, 1979, on Between The Breaks
This day a year ago, he was rolling in the snow
With a younger brother in his father's yard
Christmas break, a time for touching home,
the heart of all he'd known
And leaving was so hard

Three thousand miles away,
now he's working Christmas Day
Making double time for the minding of the store
Well he always said, he'd make it on his own
He's spending Christmas Eve alone
First Christmas away from home

She's standing by the train station,
pan-handling for change
Four more dollars buys a decent meal and a room
Looks like the Sally Ann place after all,
in a crowded sleeping hall
That echoes like a tomb

But it's warm and clean and free,
and there are worse places to be
At least it means no beating from her Dad
And if she cries because it's Christmas Day
She hopes that it won't show
First Christmas away from home

In the apartment stands a tree,
and it looks so small and bare
Not

My friend is living in Japan, and her street address has the word "Gion 5-17-8" in it. I have looked in every Japanese dictionary for that character, and I can't find it.

I can type her address in Japanese because I have the Japanese IME in MS Word. I put her name in English and enclosed her name in Japanese in parentheses on the same line.

You see, once the letter reaches Japan, her post office will reject the letter and return it to sender if the addressee's mailing address in NOT in Japanese. For some apparent reason, the post office in her town cannot read in English.

What is the character(s) for "Gion"?

Are men violent by nature? Why do they enjoy hard rock music, wrestling, contact sports, demolition derbys, monster cars, car racing, war games, competative olympics, video violence, war movies, porno, hunting animals etc. While we may not want our sons sitting at home making cream puffs why do they like to fight with each other so much?
