Yes, of course, how ironic is it that christianity is so against magic but it has some roots in paganism? Interesting hmm...

Yes. But they could be mental/emotional prayer as well. Magic and spells do not have to be done physically or visually.

A prayer is a communique with a deity. it ought to be a request for something, a assertion of gratitude or devotion( assertion of religion that's made at familiar periods). A magic spell is something that's used to control esoteric energies no rely if by using a deity or no longer. it particularly is spoken or no longer, would incorporate components of formality ie lighting fixtures candles, burning incense, gestures, etc. and has as its needed result some benefit to the spell caster. the two are no longer jointly unique. What you defined is a non secular(by using fact it invokes a deity) ritual, which includes prayer and what could be seen by using some human beings a "spell".

I don't think magic and spells are the same.We all have some form of visual prayer. but a spell is definitely different than magic.

Magic is "the science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with the will." (as defined by Crowley, and IMHO it's one of the better definitions of it).
If by "visual" you mean "having tools to work with" that's not true - one only needs one's will to do magic. Tools help focus the will, but are not requirements.

Yes, and all prayers are a spell. The rituals used in church help to focus energies and provide results.

As a magician, I beg to differ. They look a lot a like...but when you get down to it, prayer is "Thy will be done" and magic is "My will be done".
Mechanically, though, pretty much the same thing.

But then the question is, "Why embellish a prayer with visuals?"
