THis weekend I'm going to a house party of democrats (used to republicans. SHould I start memorizing the following holiday greeting??

"Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. We also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the of the generally accepted calendar year 2007, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures. This message is void where prohibited.

A nice lady that I play softball with was telling me after the game about having these horrible nightmares ever since having an abortion in the early part of this year. They have been going on for months now....I can tell they were bad for her as she was literally trembling as she told me about them. She said they are really weird and have an almost "religious" feel to them, i.e dreaming of hell, judgement, being left alone, etc.... She says that she is afraid that she is going to "be paid back" for having the abortion (which she totally regrets now). Could the abortion have screwed up the chemicals in her body making her this way, or is there some other reason (tremendous guilt??)

I would like to know if my boyfriend's best friend meets me and approves of me? Is it really important to my boyfriend to know that I made a good impression on his friend? I met his best mate a week ago and my boyfriend said in a jocky way that I should make the effort to make a good impression.. I think I did as his friend made effort with me.

What do you think of white tattoos? Are they more expensive? Do they last?

Where do you buy a prom dress without buying it online?

What style dress should I wear? (I'm short, thin and pear shaped)

I can't find a job! I'm 17 and no one will hire till I'm 18... suggestions?

I just created some pineapple upside-down french toast. Does that sound good or what?

Who's better? Michael Angelo or Leonardo DaVinci?

If you can answer all my questions, major points. ♥

Why is there so much attention given to matters of gay? Really, who cares? I don't even know what gay is. I know I like women often times way too much. That is just the way I am. So If someone likes someone of the same sex I figure that is just the way they are also. What is the big deal? Was this as big of an issue in the past?

they want to be freinds with all guys..this behaviour makes me mad because it is this very character in women that causes one man's insecurity and feeds another man's lust.

Why are we drawn to things we know are untrue, wrong...'bad'....?

Why will we do things that we know are wrong, or will cause something 'bad'...?

Like that test...putting two people in seperate rooms, and giving one of them a button and telling them "Press this button and it will shock the person in the other room"....What does that person do? Press the button. Do we do it because of curiosity? Or fear or punishment? Or raised beliefs that respect for authority has no limits.

But really.... on the other note.....Why are we drawn to things we know to be untrue?

So... "Jesus loves you" but only if you're straight, right?
That's rediculous.
God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit love everyone, from the lowliest murderer to the innocent child. He loves Gays, Bisexuals, and Transgendered peopls as much as He loves any "normal" narrowminded person.
So to be a true Christian, we must open our hearts to all peoples and love them as God loves us. And leave the judging to Him.
I don't see how one can insist that God is upset with people who are gay. Or that being gay is wrong.
I guess there isn't much of a question here, I just wanted some feedback.
And in case anyone is wondering, I am straight and a Catholic.

First and foremost, Hanukkah is a historical, nationalist holiday. It commemorates the successful rebellion, in the second century B.C.E., of a clan of Jewish freedom fighters called the Maccabees. These warriors rose up against Antiochus, a Greco-Syrian monarch who ruled Israel with a hard hand, banning Jews from practicing their faith and pressuring them to convert to a Hellenic way of life. (It is told that his soldiers would even force-feed Jews pork, a kosher no-no.) Despite being greatly outnumbered, the Maccabees managed to recapture the Holy Temple, the premier site of ancient Judaism, from their oppressors. Hanukkah means dedication in Hebrew -- the holiday pays tribute to the dedication of a group of Jews who believed fervently in their right to religious and nationalist freedom.
Of course, there's also a religious aspect to Hanukkah. Also known as the "Festival of Lights," Hanukkah celebrates the miracle that occurred when the Maccabees reclaimed the Temple.

I have had a friend for years and he's the greatest guy but he won't come out about his feelings for men. I can see his interest in men yet he is still dating girls. But he is always unhappy. What's a good way to let him know it's okay for him to be himself?

I had an hours long debate the other night with a good friend. WE argued over weather strippers slept with a lot of men at the club i maintained that most of the girls at the clubs do not as it would put a crimp in their income. She said that indeed they do and often for a little extra money.
Am I in a state of denial or is she way off?
