Get your mom something from VIctoria's Secret, like a lotion or body splash. Candles or soft home socks for her would be nice too...
For your best friend, get her something you think she'll really like or need... For example, if she likes to read, get her a paper weight, a reading light, or a gift card from Border's or Barnes and Noble... If she likes listening to music, get her a CD you KNOW she doesn't have, or something that she would like listening to.

Give mom
a handmade card
with handmade gift cards toward services
"this card good for one half hour of YOUR CHOICE MOM
labor from me"
Then go out with friend and pretend you are choosing a gift for someone else
then wrap and give to her on Christmas.

Vouchers made out in their honor at the local homeless shelter. Think of how great that will make you, them and the homeless people feel on Christmas day. Peace out and God Bless.

It depends what kind of stuff they like. Get them stuff that they are interseted in.
