I have had a friend for years and he's the greatest guy but he won't come out about his feelings for men. I can see his interest in men yet he is still dating girls. But he is always unhappy. What's a good way to let him know it's okay for him to be himself?

That's hard! I was in this situation a few weeks ago. Then, one evening my friend and I were having dinner, talking about a totally different topic, I stared right at him, and (helped by a couple of glasses of wine) I said "You're gay!". He blushed. I thought that I had just lost a friend, fortunately I did not. Good luck.

Introduce him to other men that have come out later in life.

Take him to a neighborhood gay bar, not a boy dance bar. Or visit the "gay" district of your city with him.

tell him on the phone (unless you are chicken or exstreamly gay!)

i understand what you are saying but he may have taken a note of how much different people treat gay people they hurt them for no reason just because.people are cruel.i really dont know what to say he could tell them and see what happens however being with someone you dont want to be with is not a good thing to tha self always be true.give him time to work out his issues as to why he is not ready to come out yet.only he knows when he is ready.

I wouldnt say a thing. He will when he gets ready.Sometimes it takes men/women longer to realize that they are gay or lesbians.

Maybe instead of telling him, you should ask him. Maybe he would love to get something like that off his chest, but doesn't want for his friends and family not to accept it...make him comfortable enough to confide this in you.

it doesn't matter what type of feelings he is having ,what you think or feel doesn't make you gay.If he hasn't had sex with another male then he isn't gay,,sounds like you are gay and want to convince your friend he is also so you can have sex with him

Talk to him. Get him to pour his heart on to you... Afterward maybe letting him talk to some who's gay and happy might help him... Best of luck mate!

Set him down somewhere where its just the two of you, ask him, and tell him that its ok for him to be hisself! Oh, and for "jesuslovesyou", I hope that when you make it to the gate, Jesus laughs at you and sends you strait to h***!
