Why do some christians using this site desperately protest this fact?
no-one is saying that THEY are celebrating a pagan festival, just that the date and much of the imagery of the modern christmas festival pre-dates their faith.

Without a law by which to establish what action is good and evil how can anyone be called wicked, evil or sinful?

Keep in mind Romans7:7 I would not have known what sin was except through the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "Do not covet."

Wouldn't everyone prior to the law have been oblivious to what was good or evil since there was no guideline for what they were do to?

My husband is without work and has been for about 6 months now and we don't have the extra $ to spend on family for Christmas. People have helped out with our kids' Christmas and I know our family won't mind not getting anything, but I'd still like to make something for them that isn't cheap looking. Any ideas?

As a gay man, I've been seeing mainstream media and all of Hollywood favoring female kissing... I mean it doesn't bother me if a woman kisses, but it doesn't turn me on either... Well, I just wish that they would show more and more men kissing on TV, but it doesn't happen often because of this double standard that we are so used to seeing every single day, and most of society accept it to be the truth and the norm. I just don't like it when Hollywood portrays man and man kissing as disgusting, perverted, and too taboo for anyone to handle... why can't Hollywood just see the beautiful side of it, instead of wannabe gay/straight males making fun of it all the time.

There will come a time when men kissing will become accepted and normal in Movies and TV shows, but right now it's always mocked, and called "disgusting, ewww. etc. Look away or if you don't you'll have seven years of bad luck"

I believe female kissing is too over rated, what's your thoughts on this double standard?

Sex is a Sacred expression created by God/dess. Unfortunately puritanical, Victorian attitudes against it still prevail throughout the world. I realize Christians are not the only ones who feel this way but their opinions are most prevalent in USA, here. And other questions what are things are considered bad/evil related to this? Human odors as well? These things are not evil either but we are being socialized to thing that way are we not? Other things?

Yes, I've been in a few adult bookstores, toyshops, video peep joints and often wonder: What it's like for the guy or gal who works behind the counter? Do you see naughty things going on between the patrons? Do you get propositioned a hundred times a day? Do you get grossed out by the customers? Can you tell which ones are embarrassed first-timers? How do people act when they bring a big rubber dong-o or an electric anal probe to the counter? Do people hang around all day looking for a hookup? Do customers proposition each other?
