As a gay man, I've been seeing mainstream media and all of Hollywood favoring female kissing... I mean it doesn't bother me if a woman kisses, but it doesn't turn me on either... Well, I just wish that they would show more and more men kissing on TV, but it doesn't happen often because of this double standard that we are so used to seeing every single day, and most of society accept it to be the truth and the norm. I just don't like it when Hollywood portrays man and man kissing as disgusting, perverted, and too taboo for anyone to handle... why can't Hollywood just see the beautiful side of it, instead of wannabe gay/straight males making fun of it all the time.
There will come a time when men kissing will become accepted and normal in Movies and TV shows, but right now it's always mocked, and called "disgusting, ewww. etc. Look away or if you don't you'll have seven years of bad luck"
I believe female kissing is too over rated, what's your thoughts on this double standard?

I do believe there is a double standard but for some reason, I'm not sure exactly what though, mainstream society is not ready for male/male affection on TV or in the movies... they do consider it taboo and is often made fun of. I don't see anything wrong with it, like you said if you don't like it then don't look. I believe one day it will become not necessarily more acceptable but more tolerated and we will see more of it but who knows when that will be.. anyways....... Happy Holidays

because men (straight) have this fantacy about two women doing it with or with out them. But why if the two women did not want a man would that turn a man on? That I do not understand. To me it is the same, man and man/ woman and woman. There is no difference. They are both the same in my eyes, neither one is more damning than the other. Once this is the norm, because it will happen (men and men kissing/ woman and woman as well) I will toss my TV out the window.

I am not interested in seeing any 2 men kiss. If it happens, I will change the station ~ and so will many other people. Seeing two females kiss is a bit softer and easier to accept.

Considering the fact that youre gay, Im not surprised you dont find two women kissing to be a turn on.
But you may want to speak for yourself. As for two guys kissing, while I am not a homophobe nor do I denounce your lifestyle - I do not fgind myself eagerly wanting to witness the act.... Probably cuz Im straight...

You're adorable. It's completely normal that you feel this way because you are gay. I think that two men kissing is much better than a man and a woman kissing (eww)........ Yes, hopefully this will be cool soon......Gay men are adorable, handsome, superior to "straight" men, have a sense of style, and so on..........
