ok, here's the deal...my relative is constantly asking me what i want for christmas and won't leave me alone! i said i dont want/need anything....he said i do. what should i ask for?
i know it's a stupid question...

Which do you prefer, a white christmas ( winter) or a summer christmas?

See, a winter one would be all traditional,amazing with the snow and the ice skating whereas, a summer christmas is also awesome with sun, surf and sand. Us aussies love a summer christmas but it the alternative a better/different option?

Desperation as proof of God?

An earlier poster asked a question which elicited responses that went along the lines of "Well, when you and many others are near death, you'll turn to God then!" Yes, people do a great many things in a life-or-death situation, including taking another human life. (Think of paniced reactions of people in stampede conditions or in a battle or genocide situation.)

My question is - since people do desperate things in desperate situations - how does this "legitimize" the decision they might make under such duress? Why would this "prove" a god?

Tipping for Delivery / Take out?

Does anyone tip when you go to a sit down restaurant to pick up food to go? How much?

Should people tip when a delivery place charges for delivery? How much? I feel resentful about tipping when I already got charged for the delivery guy to come out.

If Christians have Hope, then why?

Paul writes in Romans 8:24-25 "For in this hope we were saved.Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience?" So my question is, why do so many Christians insist on an assurance of their salvation? If you have an assurance, you have no need to hope, as Paul (ie Scripture) writes. I submit that we hope for heaven because we know we still have a chance to lose it.
