How do you handle it? It is hard to not celebrate Christmas when it seems like the whole world around you does? Do you tell people you work with that you don't celebrate it? Do you still attend "holiday" parties? If you have kids, do they feel as though they are missing out on something?

I like the idea of "family time" but I just don't like the holiday. It seems like it is something that you can't get away from. No one understands why you wouldn't want to celebrate it. My husband thinks its too commercial, and I think that since I don't celebrate Hanukkah because I'm not Jewish, if I'm not Christian, why would I celebrate Christmas?

she's supposedly straight, but she knows I'm a lesbian. plus, we're friends, but not great friends. she wasn't any more drunk than she usually is at parties, but usually it's awkward and quiet beween us.......so i don't know if she wants me or if she was only touching me because she was drunk.

Done something mean to you. Say if all the Jews someone knows is always selfish towards them? Or if all the black people a person knows is dishonest to them? Or if a Muslim is really a foe, not a friend. Or if a Mexican lies to you? I am not racist. But would be considered racist? Is it wrong to hate a race or relgion if you have personal things they have done to you?

An interesting point of view, this video pulls up some convincing factual events that have taken place and manages to tie them all together...

You have to watch all 6 parts to get the complete story. The second half of part 5 is very interesting.

Don't answer until you view all 6 videos...

My friend did not invite me to a Hoilday party. We have known eachother for almost two years now. She invited another friend but did not invite me. She also talked about the party in my presence. I invite her out to dinner with my family and to parties. I even invited her to go on vacation to the east coast with my family and I during winter break. But, she had to work so, she is not going. She told me she got me a present for the holidays. However, I do not feel the present cuts it because I feel angry regarding not inviting me to the party. But, I feel angier regarding her talking about the party in my presence. Do I have a right to feel angry? Was this rude?

2 days ago, in one of my high school classes, a teacher was talking about prejudices and relationships and how our behavior can a lot of times reenforce the prejudices people have about us young folk. He mentioned that my generation has been hailed by many adults as the X generation. { X meaning wrong as opposed to a check mark meaning right.} He said that many people have put us away in a box, deeming us as a lost cause and that, to many people, if every single member of my generation were eliminated , if they could just X us out, and skip on to the next generation, life on Earth would be better. The chief reasons being that my generation is seen as having no moral values, no respect for others, and no respect for ourselves. Although, personally, I don't consider myself to be a lost cause or believe that my generation should just die, I must say the stuff about my generation being disrespectful, etc, a lot of times, it's true. What do you think our future will be as adults?

My 13 year old daughter's teacher is behaving terribly toward her.

My daughter is a very independent and quiet girl. She gets good grades and doesn't have emotional issues. However, I suppose it is because she is so quiet, her teacher has decided she must be "depressed". He has suggested counseling to her and has asked her if she cuts herself. This has made my daughter uncomfortable and she is very put off by him, probably adding to his suspicions, because...

Today, another student was acting very quiet, and her teacher asked, "What's the matter with you? Are you on drugs? You're acting like her", and he pointed to my daughter.

I made an appointment to talk with the principal on Tuesday. Is it a violation of her rights if they ask to see her arms?

She sleeps in shorts and is sitting next to me in a tank top right now, and I assure you there are no markings on her skin.

I'm a white guy from the UK who loves hip-hop, but it is sad to see the struggles that the average black man has to go through in America today.

Will things ever change?
