It's not in the Bible, if that's what you mean, but if a Christian person is named Gary, one could say it's a Christian name in that case. The whole bit about "minus the R . . ." is a stretch at best.

That is not bad because no one actually takes the R out - except you. It means "spear". I know because my uncle is called Gary.

That's like saying all people named "Levi" are evil (rearrange the letters). Of course, I don't know anyone named Levi, but I bet at least one of them is a nice person.
